Winning in the trenches - who are these guys anyway?

Ugly game and Rex is gonna take some serious heat. I imagine Manning gets the MVP just because there's really no one person to give it to - might as well be him.

    Good stuff.

Congrats to the Colts and their fans! If the Bears had to go down, at least it was the Colts winning. A class team all the way.

Tony Dungy is a good man.

I don't remember his words verbatim, but he said something like: "We could have gone out and won the game, but we wanted to win it the right way...to win it with class."

And that is exactly what they did.

Congrats to the team and to Indianapolis.
And I won't be here to see the day
It all dries up and blows away
I'd hang around just to see
But they never had much use for me

I have grown to watch, respect, and love the Colts. Not because they are so good, it's the way they represent themselves. Wouldn't you like to have a boss like Tony Dungy? Wouldn't you like your co-workers to be like Marvin Harrison? They are just one classy team. I use to never watch football but over the past 3 or 4 years I have watched more and more football and it's because of the Colts. It's so easy to root and love that team.

The Colts have fought through adversity. They showed all the doubters wrong. They overcame great odds. Tony Dungy has coached through his son's tragic death, Reggie Wayne played through his brother's death. The Colts really seemed to bond together and are like a family. You can see it.

Not only those tragic events but how about injuries to key players? Corey Simon, Mike Doss, Brandon Stokley, and I don't believe that Nick Harper played in the second half.

Also, give some credit to not only Joseph Addai, but how about Dominic Rhodes. Losing EJ in the off-season and then having a rookie being the only other back you don't know what to expect. There was a lot of pressure on DR, atleast in the beginning until Addai really proved himself, and he did a great job all year long. Say it's the system that makes DR, I don't care, DR did some great running for us this year especially in the playoffs. Against Baltimore in the 4th, against New England, and then he had a fabulous game against the Bears today. On a side note I wonder how Edge James feels right now.

This was a total team effort. The defense stepped up in the playoffs. Manning showed everyone that he can win the playoffs. Addai and Rhodes were just excellant this year stepping up and more than filling the void left by EJ. Harrison, Wayne, and Clark were awesome like always, the o-line did a great job of giving Peyton time. Vinitari was great at kicking like always. You just can't stop giving players complaments. This was a great team. Period.

This was a great year. I don't think that there is a more deserving team than the Colts. Win or lose, they are a great example of how to act and represent yourself.

Congrats to the Colts. That was a great season.

Oh and one last thing, anyone else find it ironic that Ohio State returns the opening kickoff of the Rose Bowl for a touchdown and loses that game badly, and the Bears do the same thing this Superbowl and although they didn't lose that badly they never played well, the Colts just couldn't complete a couple drives for touchtowns. Anyways I just found that a little ironic.

    Congrats to Indy.

It will be very interesting up here for the next few days.

I'm sure they'll blame Grossman, but I think only one of his turnovers was his fault.

Meanwhile, the O-v-e-r-r-a-t-e-d LB wearing #54 was MIA all game long. Its much more fun to annoy the Bears' fans when he tries to make tackles and gets run over backwards than when he's just nowhere to be found.

(PS, Rhodes should've been MVP, hands-down. That was Trav-sham-mockery of the SuperBowl MVP Process.)

Again, congrats. As I've said for months, there were ten AFC teams that could've won this game against any NFC team, and the Colts were the class of the AFC playoffs this year.
Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you

Congratulations. Enjoy being the NFL champions for as long as you can because you never know when your team may get back to it again. Can't wait for the next NFL season now..so much competition in the AFC.

I'm so incredibly happy about this! It's the first championship I've ever seen one of "my" teams win, and it's certainly everything it's cracked up to be! So happy for the Colts organization, Polian finally gets one, Peyton quiets his critics, Dungy winning is huge on different levels, and my boy BOB SANDERS showed the world just who he is!!!

    SUPER BOWL CHAMPION, INDIANAPOLIS COLTS!!!

    Sounds nice, doesn't it?

    Congrats Colts!

By the way, anyone hear how Harrison is doing? He took quite a spill on his knee towards the end there. That was a nasty bend backwards. Thats gotta hurt this morning.

The Colts owner thanking God for this championship.

I never heard an owner(even other sports) who won a Championship thanking the creator.

I Love Tony Dungy and Lovie Smith. Classy people.

I Love Peyton Manning the way he handle himself winning the Championship. He looks relax and as if he won it every year.
