Default OT: watching the Spurs - Lakers ---it's Official

The SPURS are just about done. They're unable to mount any kind of threat. Talk about a running-in-quicksand kind of game.

No longer to be considered among the top 3 in the west.

While we're at it, let's FINALLY put a fork in Bowen, as well. (With the diminishing play of the old DEFENSIVE GUARD (Artest, Wallace, Bowen, etc.) time for some youngblood defenders to till the void.)

Funny thing is, they have one of the best TOP 3's (Duncan, Parker, Ginobili) in the league.

Hard to believe but the Pacers are actually playing more enjoyable bball than the Spurs.

    Who'd have thunk it?

When the refs no longer love you, it's hard in the NBA ---just ask the Pistons (excluding Piston/Pacer games, of course).

Regardless of the outcome of this game, the Spurs are still the clear cut third best team in the NBA, behind Dallas and Phoenix.

Yet they find a way to get into OT. Their play might be diminishing, but by no means are they over. I like the Spurs. Go Spurs. More importantly go PACERS!!!
The eyes of the Granger are upon you.

Looks like the refs are still in love with the Spurs in crunch time.

The odds of Bynum actually getting a call are about the same as Granger's against the Mavericks.

I wonder if they would trade Ron Artest and the First Pick for Al Harrington.

Actually what I find fun is to see players make shots to end a game ... what a clutch three by fin there... still tough to get a rythmn shot with only 1.3 sec left for lakers...

by the way.. just waiting for the main event.. 2 minutes... left....
You didn't think it was gonna be that easy, did you? ..... You know, for a second there, yeah, I kinda did.....

    What a great game.

Impressive, impressive clutch shots from Bryant and Finley in the final 10 secs of the game.

We should trade Rawle and our 2009 First Round pick for James White.

    Yeah it's official...

The Spurs' Rodeo Road Trip started off with a thrilling overtime finish in L.A. as the Spurs grabbed a 96-94 win over the Lakers.

The Spurs came back from a 10-point fourth quarter deficit and a last second block by Manu Ginobili on Kobe Bryant set the game into overtime. The Spurs mounted another comeback in overtime and Michael Finley drained a game-winning three pointer with a second remaining.

San Antonio struggled from the field the entire game hitting 32 of their 95 attempts (33%) compared to 42% shooting by the Lakers. The Spurs had a 53-44 rebounding advantage including a 16-5 edge on offensive boards.

Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili both scored 21 points to lead the Spurs. Tony Parker - who sprained his thumb in the first half - scored 7 of his 19 points in overtime.

    Spur of the Game
