Thread: Trade with Memphis

    Default Trade with Memphis

Memphis needs lots of help and will probably trade Gasol. Pacers offer Harrington, Granger, and Quis for Gasol and Kyle Lowry. I don't want to give up Granger but we are not going to get Gasol for nothing.

If we got Gasol, isn't he going to present us with the same problem we have with Harrington/O'Neal? Harrington needs the ball to go through him on the post. But that can't happen because O'Neal does too. How would Gasol be any different?

There is no comparison between Gasol and Harrington. Pau is a true 7 ft. C with an offensive game. Those guys are rare indeed. Al is an undersized PF that cannot guard C.

Pau would be a good fit with JO and they would be able to play off each other, unlike Foster who is not an offensive threat. Teams would never be able to leave Pau to double JO.

    Yeah, but AL

    ALSO

    can't guard PFs

    NOR

    can he guard SFs

That hasn't stopped him from being COVETED by TPTB.

He sure steps up big, however, when he's NOT NEED or against weak teams.

Is this just a hypothetical trade or have you heard rumblings?

    No Fire Sale
Jan 14 - Jerry West said he isn't actively trying to trade any of his players, but he's open to listening to what teams have to offer. But unless the deal involves the likes of Kobe Bryant, LeBron James or Dwyane Wade, it's time to kill the noise on the Pau Gasol rumors.

"I've talked to a bunch of teams. But what they want you to do is ridiculous. Everyone thinks there's a fire sale here. There's no fire sale here, period. None."

We get a really good shooting guard and we lose two starters! Yay!
(I really want Mike Miller, but only if he agrees to a haircut first)

remind me again why memphis would want Tinsley when they already have Damon Stoudamire, Chucky Atkins and Kyle Lowry?
    This is the darkest timeline.
