First time a low level assistant got fired for a clerical error? I doubt it.

My memory may be very hazy, but didn't something like this happen when Detroit first acquired Sheed? Or have I completely lost my mind?

    You've lost your mind.

Sheed had to be taken out at halftime of his first game because the trade wasnt completed since atlanta filed their paperwork late.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

No, but I am surprised that it didn't happen to us in the Brawl year, its about the only thing that didn't happen to reduce our roster.

Ah. Well, at least I didn't completely imagine it.

I've seen that called at lower level games, but I can't beleive that mistake happened in the NBA.
Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you

As Nelson from the Simpsons would say (and I quote):

Yeah, it was rather similar. Pistons lost that game btw, on a bs call. An offensive foul on Chauncey as he was taking a three point jumpshot, which he made.
