Re: 01/04/2007 Game Thread 33: Pacers at Mavericks
Jamaal had a bad 4th quarter, that's for sure, but if it wasn't for him making shots when every one else was cold during stretches in the 2nd and 3rd we would have been out of this game long ago.
We got beat by a team that's won 26 of their last 29 games. We could have won this game if not for some mistakes in the 4th quarter.
Don't get me wrong. I was throwing things, screaming at the top of my lungs and freaking out during the game, I hate to lose. However, we are on the right path. We outplayed the Mavs for a lot of stretches during this game. They were simply the better team in the 4th and going down the stretch, and that had to be somewhat expected. Anyone who thought we were better then the Mavs was kidding themselves.
I'm not as frustrated at Tins as I am at the fact that at least two of our starters completely blow on a regular basis. I'm nearly sick of Jack and Al, and while I commend Tins' effort to stay healthy, he can be maddeningly inconsistent.
That's pretty much where I'm at as well. You really can't put much blame on JO, Foster, Granger, Quis, or Baston. They are all typically good with what PT they get. Tins is on or off, as is Red Bull. Everyone else either doesn't play or sucks.
