I posted this in another thread. Dat Dude already covered most of it.

Stein says a trade is not expected tonight. Philly's been trying to get young players like Monte Ellis, Al Jefferson, etc and it hasn't been working out. They may wait it out though and see if they can get the teams bidding against each other.

Bucher says count out Sacramento. They were major players early on, but have fizzled. Indy and Denver have generated the most buzz lately. Denver offering a deal built around Nene and Joe Smith. Indy has players that can be plugged into Philly's holes. Iverson mentioned that he would like playing for Indy.

At one point there was a Golden State/Philly/Indy 3-way trade being talked about, but it fell through.

We do have two young players that Philly would want... Maybe three... Harrison, Harrington, and Quis... All three are still considered young.... Quis and Harrison can't seem to get good minutes... Either way things are starting to get VERY interesting!!!!

I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but this is very encouraging.
Perhaps having JO helps, not sure how good of friends they are.

That made my night, I'm so pumped now.

I still find it hard to believe. Maybe I'm just not used to hearing players of his caliber actually saying they would like to play here. Seems unreal..

Bucher is a NBA insider type reporter based on the west coast in the San Francisco area. He's usually pretty well connected to the player's perspective.

This A.I. situation is getting interesting. The pros and cons of a deal are large, but I'm starting to think any shake up at this point would be a good thing.

The only reason I see AI wanting to play here is alongside JO. I hear they are good friends and I doubt AI would say he wants to move here if he knew JO was going the other way.

OK, for the first time I think there is a chance the Pacers will get Iverson. But what will the Pacers give up. I just don't know what the Pacers will be giving up. I have not heard any media types even speculate

I think if we are making this hard of a push we have to be offering Danny. I don't see what other combination could be so intriguing that it could be called a hard push.

Wouldn't it be ironic if JO was the one traded for his good buddy? Or if JO's other good buddy Harrington had to leave.

Well you see for me, that is the exact reason I think something is up... No leaks of players we might have to give up AND none of our own players talking about AI to this point.

Harrington has to be part of it, and probably is one of the main reasons why Philly continues to play the waiting game.

Billy King and Donnie might be trying really hard not to leak anything because they are working on getting it done. And we know once things get out in the public it could sometimes kill trades.
