Default A question that has been on my mind for a while now

The fact is that whenever Tinsley, Al, or Jackson are on the floor with sarunas they seem to ignore him and never pass the ball his way. I keep thinking to myself what bad teamates they really are. But I think it goes a bit deaper. There might be a little race issue here too. Its hard to tell but from my prospective I see some discrimination.

    What are your thoughts???

I think the three guys have something against the white man if you know what I mean. They could have some racism in them.

Has anyone ever seen any of the players in question around a catfish in their free time?

    I know I haven't.

    gedisg might be onto something.

I think to say that those three don't pass the ball to Saras is a completely unfair statement, it is absurd in fact, but most of all it is simply not telling the whole truth. Those three rarely pass the ball to anyone.

Come on UB, I've been on the same page with you a lot up untill recently. Tinsley takes some bad shots, but his shot selection is nowhere near as bad as it was. Al does shoot the ball quite a bit, but not recently he hasn't been, he's only been taking about 11 shots per game. Jack passes as much as anyone on the team except for maybe Danny.

I know, I was only joking around, it seemed to me that this thread was going into joke mode, so I thought I'd join in. Jax has been passing pretty well this season at least for him

Seriously though, folks, racism? We've covered this before, I'm pretty sure. I've heard stuff about SJax and Tinsley in regards to this, but AL? I don't think SJax and Tins have a problem here, because I think the "race card" is played way too often, and has therefore lost credibility with me and a lot of others (not saying that it doesn't exist, just that people use it for ANYTHING, i.e., not passing Runi the ball).

The reason Runi doesn't get the ball sometimes is because (especially when playing with Tins) his role is too often camping at the 3pt line. When he stands there, and doesn't move any, it's hard to get open for a pass. It also has a lot to do with all three of those being one-on-one players, largely.

    Not racism, not even close.

There is no such thing as racism, right guys?

In all seriousness, I doubt there is a problem like that between the players. They might not like each other, however. But that's a different thing. Now, there are definitely some issues between the players and league officials with respect to the jewelry, clothes, High school grad eligibility, etc. Didn't Jack and JO say something about this?

Now, for some speculation to stir the pot. Nothing but circumstantial evidence here. Maybe some of the issues between players and management were racial in Pacer land. Bird fired Thomas, miffing JO, and brought in his buddy Rick. Mike Brown left. Kevin ONeill (another bud) came in and everything exploded. Part of the restoration process was to yank ONeill and bring in a "player's coach" in his place, Johnny Davis. In effect, Armstrong was brought in to act as another player's coach and help change the culture. Even AJ said the culture needed to change. The team spun off mostly white players...and picked up Al, Marshall, Quis, Powell, Armstrong, Baston and drafted Williams. Rick is pretty starched and not exactly Mr. Diverse.

    Ok, I know........BS!

It always has something to do with race, doesn't it? Fix your face.

You think Jack, Al, and Tinsley are racist against white people?

How is that relevant? Runi isn't white, he's European!
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

just watch the game tonight and see what happens when they are on the floor together. Saras rarely gets the ball even though he's playing point, whats up with that.
