Default Gasol rumurs around the league

Would we be intrested in him. I like the guy personally, but what would we have to give up? Boston and Chicago are supposed to be in the mix. Could we possible be able to make a deal for him that did not inculed JO or would it take JO? What do you think.

We couldn't, nor would we work out a deal for him.

If Memphis trades him, they want the same thing Minnesota would want for KG, that being large expiring contracts, high draft picks, and young, cheap talent.

I'm sorry to report that we have none of those items in large supply

What about 56 min PT against 70 min PT?

    27,4 points (Saras plus JO) * 1.25 = 34.25 against 34.1
    11,3 reb * 1.25 = 14,125 against 14,3
    5,6 A * 1.25 = 7 against 7,3

Change in team outlook: -0.15 ppg, +0.175 rpg, +0.3 apg.

    Not much of a difference.

And points, assists and rebounds don't say everything.

We would easily be the softest team in the league, and Rick would probably resign when the entire team plays the Matador defense.

The only coach who could get the team to win under those circumstances would be Rick Adelman

Oh ya, here's the other problem: Memphis lost a bunch of money last year, and they're trying to sell the team. If they get rid of their franchise and 2nd best players, they don't want 3 years of JO in return.

Granger and Williams wouldn't be enough to get it done, and we don't have any picks for the forseeable future. Like I said, we have no shot.

    Memphis wouldn't want JO.

I'd do it though if I were us, others are focusing on JO vs. Gasol, I like the addition of Mike Miller.

Mike Miller is anything but soft, and our rebounding would certainly be improved with both Gasol and Miller.
