Default Ricky Proehl to be a Colt

    http://colts.com/sub.cfm?page=article7&news_id=4327

From what I can gather, it's not official, but close. It's a good move to fill in the slot if need be. Stokely will be coming back, but we don't know about Clark yet. So, Proehl is a good guy to have on the roster, a good veteran with pretty good hands.

Only question I have is this: where are the diamond in the rough defensive guys? Getting Booger was a good move, but there's got to be more we can do to bolster the D. Instead, we sign another offensive piece. I understand why, and I like the move; but it seems like defense would be the first place we'd look to spend any more money.

Did they ever say officially what was wrong with Dallas Clark?

not yet, but im sure they will shed some light on that tonight on the local 11pm news during sports...they somewhat teased it during the 5pm news on Channel 13 but they really didnt confirm, they just said what they family and friends have been telling everyone (torn ACL)

I don't think this says much about Dallas' injury. The Colts have always had good tight end play and with Fletcher and Utecht they'll be OK even without Dallas. To me this makes me think the Colts are expecting nothing out of Stokley this season.

[edit] Well shows what I know. Word is now that the Colts are expecting Stokley to play against Tennessee. [/edit]

I always liked Ricky. He'll be a good veteran presence for us.
