In Aldridge's fourth game, McMillan moved him into the starting lineup at center in place of veteran Jamaal Magloire.

Aldridge's rise allowed McMillan to move Magloire to the second unit, producing a better balance because Zach Randolph and Magloire are similar, post-oriented players.

"It allows us to run our sets. We have a post player in our first unit, we have a post player in our second unit, and we can go to them," McMillan said.
