    Default Fantasy Football Discussion

Hey all, I know alot of us play the fantasy sports, so here is a thread to discuss any fantasy football goings-on and/or rosters...

I'll open up with my current roster (I'm still in the middle of a live draft through EASports.com). I will make the selections for Kicker and another Defense/Special Teams in the last two rounds. This is a 12 team league. So far, I have drafted:

QB - Daunte Culpepper, Jake Plummer

RB - Steven Jackson, Warrick Dunn, Kevin Jones, Fred Taylor

WR - Steve Smith, Roy Williams, Javon Walker, Laverneus Coles

    TE - Antonio Gates

    K - Open

    DEF/ST - NY Giants

Personally I would go with Larry Johnson or Shaun Alexander.
LT would be my third Choice.

Only one of my 3 leagues has already drafted. The live draft was messed up for me so It picked based on my pre-rankings. So I really got screwed in the RB dept, among others.
I would have never made some of the picks it did , oh well...

    QB Peyton Manning/ Aaron Brooks

WR TorryHolt, Roy Williams , Nate Burleson, Donte Stallworth, Braylon Edwards, Robert Ferguson

RB Deuce Mcallister, Joseph Addai, Chris Brown, Ladell Betts,

    TE: Antonio Gates, Erron Kinney

    K : Vandershank, Tynes

    Def SEA/ DEN

Yes, as Frank said, you have to go with either LJ or Alexander.

I was ready for Josh Smith to go to Indiana, but he went to the NBA. I am ready for him to come to Indiana once again.

Just traded Marvin Harrison and Brett Favre for Terrell Owens.

This was purely a trade with the playoffs in mind. I like Harrison, but with the Colts likely clinching playoff positioning by Week 15, he'll be completely useless to me in the fantasy playoffs. He and Owens are roughly the same level, though I'll give the nod to Owens with him quickly becoming Romo's favorite target.

Favre was redundant for me. I have him, Delhomme, and Romo and I'm equally inclined to start pretty much any of them on any given week since they're all about average at best. My QB isn't a strength, but the rest of the roster is. His QB's are awful, and he needed the upgrade and isn't completely assured of making the playoffs right now anyway.

That's not a bad trade. Marvin has been up and down anyway this season, I know this because I have him. I was able to swing a trade for M. Colston for A. Green, who I picked up on waivers when he was hurt, and Terry Glenn. I got J. Lewis as well, but ended up cutting him. Our league is WR/QB heavy RB weak in scoring, and its Yahoo, so Colston can play TE as well, so giving up Green was easy. Romo's success has even boosted Witten's production.

    Here is my 8-2 team

QB - Palmer, Grossman, Farve, Romo
RB - Tomlinson, Thomas Jones, Dunn
WR - Harrison, Steve Smith, Javon Walker, Henry, Berrian, M. Clayton, P. Crayton
    TE - Colston, Witten
    K- Gould, Vinatiere
    Def - Baltimore
    Def. Player - Justin Miller

    We play 2 qb, 2 rb, 1 te, 2 wr, 1 wr/te, 1 wr/rb, k, def, def player
We also get points for kick and punt return yardage, hence my choice of Miller.

My Roster in a 10 team dynasty league.

    QB: Grossman, McNair
WR: Plaxico Burress, Andre Johnson, Randy Moss, Berrian
RB: LaDanian Tomlinson, Frank Gore, Edge, Jamal Lewis
    TE: Antonio Gates, Kellen Winslow
    K: Elam
    Def/ST: Carolina

You start 1 QB, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 1 K, and 1 DEF/ST. Even though I've scored the most points in my league, I'm in 4th place sitting at 6-4.
