I won't be at the game.

But if I was, I'd boo him. Not because I care, but because he's mentally soft enough that it might make a win easier.

Hard to blame him for going to Nawlins, though. They paid him twice what he was worth... what's he going to do, say no?

Peja is a joke. I'd boo the hell out of him if I were there.

If I was there, I don't think I'd bo him. Not because I wouldn't want to, but because the way he's been playing, he's going to get plenty of boos this year at home.

Not a chance. I'll give him a standing ovation. Peja brought some excitement back to the house after Artest left. For me it was great to see. He doesn't have anything to feel bad about. He took a heck of a deal, and he'd have been crazy not to. I wish him well. Not only that but also had it not been for his trade, Al Harrington would probably be in Denver.

Nah, I'll be at the game, but I won't boo him, I'll cheer him when they call his number out!

If youre going to boo Peja for not showing up for the playoffs then you better boo every returning Pacer because I don't remember anyone showing up for that series...except for AJ, and maybe Foster.

If youre going to boo him for taking the big contract with the Hornets...well the Pacers didn't really want him back anyways so I don't see the point in boing him for that.

What other reason is there? I mean he was a pretty big contributor to the one good run the Pacers had last season.

You're right man, everybody was inconsistent during those games; we'll be better this season but the test is against the Bobcats who are also fighting for a playoff spot so we'll see the matchups: especially Tinsley vs. Paul. We'll be okay if we exploit the inside and use kickouts to get points, if not, then we may be at the mercy of the CP3's and DW's shooting. Go Pacers!

Boo Peja? Why put forth that much effort when he didn't when he played for the Pacers?

    Exactly.

And after the effort Jack showed in CHA I think any fan booing him will look like an idiot. You want Jack to stop moaning and whining and complaining, try setting the example. Save the boos till Jack does those things at least. If he rips into RC or a ref THEN boo, the message will be a lot stronger.

I'll listen to fans asking for good character when I see it out of the lower bowl fans where players can hear. As long as drunks and jerks cat call, boo, and swear out the refs with a kid just 5 seats away, my tolerance for the talk-show callers complaining about "character" is going to remain low.

Because he doesn't deal with adversity well? Because we want to be 2-0?

Exactly, yes I will boo Peja just like every player for the other team. Nothing personal or anything to do with leaving the Pacers he is the enemy now. After the introductions I don't care.
You know how hippos are made out to be sweet and silly, like big cows, but are actually extremely dangerous and can kill you with stunning brutality? The Pacers are the NBA's hippos....Matt Moore CBS Sports....

I'm trying to get tickets just so I can boo. His "disappearance" in the playoffs was crap.

There must be a lot of 12 year olds at the games I've gone to then because the other team gets booed a lot.

I'm more for the idea of not booing Jack then I am for booing Peja. Probably too much to ask at this point to ask not to boo him. I myself haven't been very fond of Jackson's decisions or actions in the past, but it's not like he's going anywhere as much as some of us would like him to be gone the chances are highly slim. So I just hope nobody boo's jack tonight in the home opener if you don't wanna withold your boo's for jack withold them for the overall team and the guys who are trying to correct peoples image of what this team is.

I'll also give him the standard token Boo during introductions. I'm fairly indifferent toward Peja, so after that he'll only hear Booing from me if he does something during the game to deserve it...........

I read the thread title and thought it was a theme night by the organization:

"Come to Boo Peja Night Friday at Conseco! The first 10,000 fans entering the Fieldhouse will receive a free kazoo! Fans with a receipt for at least $20.00 in merchandise from the Pacers Home Court Gift Shop will receive lessons in giving raspberries from the Pacemates at 6:30!"

Yeah that game where JO became the first player to score 37 points, pull down 15 boards and shoot 80% was a pretty crappy effort.

The simple truth is, he sat out the playoffs and left the Pacers to "die" so as to preserve his value in free agency. I will boo him when he is introduced, and I will cheer a little louder every time he fails.

Is that silly? Yes, but no more silly that paying $40+ to see grown men play ball.

I can't imagine why anyone would boo him. I hardly even remember him.
