Thank you, Rasko, for drafting Ruben Patterson, and releasing Earl Watson so I could pick him up .
I was REALLY happy to get Watson, yes, I was afraid he would have been taken by someone else higher on the waiver wire like when I tried to get Antonio Daniels and missed out on him.
Like I wrote before, I like my team. No injury problems so far, one game Mo Williams missed is ALL. Which is something I looked at specifically when preparing and doing the draft. I know there are some players who do run a risk like Jameer Nelson, Ethan Thomas and to a lesser extend Jason Kidd and Antonio McDyess, but no Kirilenko's on my team as far as I know (). I think I have lowered my risks for injuries further by waiving Jarvis Hayes, who has a serious injury history, and bringing in (and deepening my guard slot) Earl Watson.
Then I also think I have a good mix of veterans (Kidd, Okur, McDyess), young and rising players (Mo Williams, Nelson, Butler), players with (much) more playing time this year compared to last year (Antonio McDyess, Mo Williams, Jameer Nelson soon) and NO rookies on my team, so no rookie wall "problems" that will creep into my teams results.
I think I have a good mix of rebounding, scoring and assists from the guards (my strongest position).
A decent center, who has had the bad luck of Boozer acting like he's the real Hulk, and two decent back up centers.
And at forward, with the exception of Butler, a mediocre, but quantitatively and qualitatively deep mix of players who DO contribute. Ideally I would want to add a rebounding F/CF, but I'm pretty happy about my team so far.
And, yes, I like the Patterson pick you made. I was also happy you were able to still get Evans and I am also lucky that Dahntay Jones is getting more playing time due to half the Grizzlies either beying sick or dying , so thanks for that pick too.
