Is the fact that we didn't make any more moves after the Al Harrington signing.

Where are the moves we were promised?

“People talk about how quiet he [McKey] is, but he’s really been helpful. He gives a lot of insight to players in how to guard certain teams and what their weaknesses are. The whole team listens to him, and it makes my job a lot easier. Having players like him is what pro basketball is all about for me.” —Larry Brown

A number of people called this, btw. But hey, maybe Microwave's right and a trade is on the way. I won't be holding my breath, though.

Probably a bright idea. The last guy who held his breath over Microwave's inside info never tasted sweet, sweet air ever again.

That's about as classy as I get, for a guy who is 0-3, an obvious attention....hound (classy!), and the admins have done nothing to verify or kick him out.

I know some of us love to believe everything everyone says, every time they say it, but can we at least all agree that there is a certain percentage of message board posters who get a rush out of making stuff up and then laughing when people believe it?

This just in, The Pacers are going to trade Rawle Marshall and Sarunas Jasikevicius for Steve Nash and a 1st, allowing us to re-sign James White.

Ooo, sorry guys, that one fell though. Just got a call on my cell phone from Donnie Walsh, he says we value Runi too much to pull the trigger. Maybe next time. I can't get em all right, you know?

They probably couldn't get rid of Tinsley and Jackson without giving them away. If those circumstances are correct I see no problem with not doing any more trades. We turned over more than half our roster as is. We have 8 new guys.

But we didn't move the one guy the fans absolutely hated.

No they didn't, but I'm sure that they at least looked at what was out there.

That one is really hard to swallow. I'm not a total Jackson hater, in fact, there are days where he makes me smile. But I recognize that a rather large portion of the people paying for tickets didn't like him out on the floor last year and made not bones about letting Donnie and Larry know about it during the game. In a situation like that, it's almost better to trade him away for nothing simply to appease the people who ultimately ensure payroll gets done, unless you are 100% certain that you are in the right and that the fanbase can be brought around to your way of thinking. Given the Artest fiasco, I'm just not sure that that was the approach to take, this time around.

They were nixed when other teams realized we couldn't pony up second-round picks to sweeten the deal.

Don't casual fans absolutely love Sarunas? I remember him being routinely cheered for every time he entered towards the end of last year...

They probably couldn't move him. But then after seeing how good his numbers looked in the pre-season, they probably don't want to anymore.

There is a new contest on Pacers related message board. It's called the "SJAX/Saras corollary". It amounts to determining how many posts will it take to have either SJax or saras being named in a discussion thread and by whom. All counters are reset to 0 .

Sort of a PacersDigest version of Godwin's law.

No. Jack had a nice preseason. Now if he can hit 42% of his three-point attempts and 90% of his free-throws in the regular season, then that would be even more significant.
