Default Deepest draft in NBA history?

although many people say the 2003 draft was the deepest, some even say the 2007 will be even deeper, i think its the second deepest after the 1996 draft..

    41 All-Star appearances (Kobe 8, AI 7, Ray Allen 6, JO 5, Nash 4, Antoine Walker 3, Peja Stojakovic 3, Stephon Marburry 2, Zydrunas Ilgauskus 2, and Shareef Abdur-Rahim 1).

    9 All-NBA First Team Selections (Kobe 4, Iverson 3, Nash 2)

3 NBA MVP Awards (Nash 2, AI 1)

AND... Ben Wallace is from the same year but he went undrafted

Wow, that '96 draft was insane...

Isn't the draft called the "deepest draft ever" every year? We'll know in about 10 years, when we can see what kind of players these guys actually become.

Without the benefit of hindsight, lets look at that. What you have are two highschool players, a raw Euro and a PG that is too short and weak to make it in the NBA. In fact, Delk would have looked like the steal of that group at the time, given his college success.

My vote goes for '96, as well, but I can't go back much further in memory than that. Heck, Kentucky almost put a starting 5 in the NBA that year.

I'm surprised how many people didn't know how good the 96 draft was, its talked about incredibly often.

Arguably a Top 5 guy of All Time at every position except for SF. Plus the undisputed #1 All Time weed smoker (apologies to the Chief and Mighty Mouse).

Kevin Willis and Otis Thorpe could play some ball for real in their day too.

    How'd Devin Durrant work out?

I don't believe in curses, Red Sox won. How about the curse alledgedly involving Native Americans on our President. Up until 1980/Reagan every President elected in a year ending in zero has died while in office. Reagan didn't and Bush has survived so far. The 96 draft and the 84 draft are easily the most outstanding in history.
