"Better" is of course, sarcasm.
Jackson court date in Michigan set
By Mike Wells
Indiana Pacers guard Stephen Jackson is scheduled to be in Rochester Hills, Mich., district court Nov. 13 for a hearing on probation violation.
Jackson’s probation for his part in the 2004 brawl was scheduled to end Sept. 23, 2006, but was extended to Sept. 23, 2007, as he tries to reach a restitution agreement in a civil suit. Jackson's lawyer, Jim Voyles, said earlier this week that William Pawlson, represented by Geoffrey Fieger, has a pending civil suit against Jackson from the brawl.
Rochester Hills (Mich.) court administrator Lynda Hammerstein said a petition has been filed because Jackson was charged with felony and misdemeanor counts of battery and disorderly conduct for his part in a fight outside a Westside strip club late last week.
