Default So who watched the Jags at Skins game?

I am still dead tired from the game, but I had a blast.

The game was everything I expected, and then some.

One of the funnest football games I think I have ever attended live. The only games that were funner were Dallas.

I know teh young lady I took with me had fun, which just made it that much better (even if she did actually get a little shook by all the crowd noise. lol. Never saw someone cover their ears at a football game, but hey, whatever floats your boat)

I really dont follow the NFL that closely, but I know we were supposed to be killed by them, and that was an amazing game.

Here is the view my friend took from our seats. This is right before we scored in the fourth quarter to go up 10

You know I watched the game. We never should have let them back in it in the fourth. But I love how when we were up by 3 we just kept givin it to Portis, he had like 4, 6, 8, 7, -1, -1, Touchdown pass to Moss!!!! I loved it.

Yeah, I caught the end of it. Thanks for beating the Jags for us.

And, va, I've only seen little kids cover their ears at football games, not grown females, but whatever, at least she was cool enough to go.

Both CBS channels I got kept showing the stupid *** Bengals game even though it was over, they waited until the game ended () until they finally switched over for us. Pissed me off.

It's 38-6, Pats and the Bengals have the ball and we get to watch their back up call run plays. For about 1:50.

I understand our Ohio CBS affiliate showing the entire game, but so did our Indy CBS affiliate. Pissed me off.

Most of all thanks for making the 2-2.

But, back to the game, it looked like a great game from the little I saw. Glad you had fun.

I don't know about all that. We will have Springs back, they will be coming off an off week (hopefully they got a lil rust) I doubt Simon will be back so our run game will prevail, and I doubt Clark and Stokley will be going over the middle much after a few hits from Sean Taylor. That takes away alot of the field, and we still have a great front 7 for their run. We just got 2 hope our O clicks.

Washington is a good team. Thankfully, just good enough to beat those pesky Jags. I only got to see the end of the game, but I can imagine that it would've been a great one to be at.

Even with Springs our secondary is going to get torched.

Taylor is great at big hits, but he scares me is coverage. I will give him credit, at least he turns around to look at the ball, but most of the time he is more concered with laying a big hit then he is making a play on the ball.

I still say the Colts whoop us.

What about Marvin and Reggie, then?

    Or Peyton?

Also, with Simon it's 50-50, he could play. No one knows.

Here is what i HOPE will happen.

First off we are a blitzing defense, keeping pressure on Peyton will be key.

Also we hit HARD over the middle, Stokley, Clark, Addai, etc won;t be able to hold on to every ball.

    Springs vs. Harrison
    Rogers vs. Wayne

Archuleta and Springs WILL give a good hit here and there, lets try to get them to alligator arm a few passes.

Run game is nonexistant in Indy.

Run D is nonexistant in Indy. Watch out for Portis, Betts and maybe Duckett.

Colts secondary is slow - we run ALOT of screens. That could get ugly.

Hopefully the secondary will still be depleted, we have Cooley, Randle el, Lloyd, Moss, Fauria, Sellers and Portis catching well this year.

    IMO it will be close.

Have you watched any Colts football at all?

It's going to be a great game. I can see something very similar to the Jags/Colts game, which scares me because that was a very tough game.

I really dont follow the Colts (I just root for them when the box score comes up, lol) but if your o-line is decent at all, you guys will be fine.

When we blitzed and got to the QB, esp with Archuletta, our defense is really a tought defense. However, if we dont blitz, or we dont ge there (see the Jags game when we gave up a 78 yard TD) then out corners will simply have no help and will get beat 10 out of 10 times.

Frankly at this point I am not sure Springs is not just sitting out collecting pay checks, so I wont be surrpised if he is not back in time for the Colts game.

Either way it should be a dandy.

Um, we ran for 160 yards last week.

We aren't slow. In fact, we're kinda fast.

Just thought I'd point that out.
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

Like Suaveness said, we ran for 160 yards last week. The running game is shaping up.

This proves to me you havn't paid attention to any Colts games this year.

    Secondary is slow?

Our entire defensive philosophy is about being fast.

They will be slow going up against the speed that is the Redskins O.

Week 3 rushing yards against the Jags - 63. We had 172.

Week 2 againt the Texans you guys had 125. We had 234.

You guys had 55 against the Giants, we had 105 against the Vikes without our leading rusher for most of the game.

Face it your runnig game can;t play against physical teams. Obviously ours can.

As someone who isn't a Colts fan, let me give you a great big, Wha-Huh???

The Colts running game isn't bad - isn't great either but it's not bad - and it's getting better.

Blitzing Peyton (too often - you have to some) is a good way to die. Wayne and Harrison are the best in the league at breaking off patterns to go where the blitzer isn't. And Manning isn't bad at throwing it.

And Indy's defense is built for speed all the way through. There's one exception in Corey Simon and he's injured. Misdirections (not screens) can work - and best of all is to just run over them.

If I'm Indy, I load the box and make Brunel beat them. Same game plan as the 2nd half vs Jacksonville. Bring the rush hard and see if he can handle it. The Skins need to work on some roll-outs - the moving pocket passing game.

Should be a good game and the Skins could win but I sure wouldn't put any money on it.
