    Dear Peyton,

As a favor would you please not take every comercial request you receive. At some point I would hope you have made enough to support your family for a while.

    Thank You

I enjoy his commercials, they are always funny. At least he doesn't do stupid commercials that are just him standing there reading the teleprompter. He actually acts and is funny.

I can't stand the Gatorade Rain commercial. When the booming voice says "The rebirth of cool" and then there stands Peyton.

When I think "cool" I don't think Peyton Manning.

And I'm definitely with you RWB.

Lets just list someones we know: Gatorade, Nike, Airtran, Marsh...I can't believe thats all I can name right now. Someone help me out.

Is it Verizon or Sprint on the cell phone deal and of course Direct TV.

Oh don't forget Reebok. I use to hate all the MJ commercials and now we're being bombarded again for someone I root for. No wonder other fans get sick of it and claim conspiracy.

I don't know how he does it... playing for a small market team and all.

Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.

I'm having a tough darned time thinking of any other Colts on the ad gravy train. In fact, yesterday I was shocked to hear Reggie Wayne's voice promo-ing WFBQ.
The Goose used to knock down buildings for some garage contractor long ago. There just aren't very many participating. Maybe there aren't in the big markets either, only the big stars or the controversial ones (TO).

I think the commercials are good, they bring our city and team publicity that it once starved for. Now we're complaining that we don't want this spotlight. How does it really affect anyone what Peyton does with his own time? He has the right to do with his fame all that he wants.

I hope he keeps doing the commercials, they're hilarious.

And, if he never wins a Super Bowl, at least we can say our QB had the best stats AND commercials. What other QB can get on national TV and say, "Can you sign my melon? To Peyton, P-e-y...YES! That's AWESOME!" and still be taken seriously on game day?

I agree about the Gatorade Rain ads though...Peyton does not equal cool.

They're saying the re-birth of cool. As in not humid, not sweating. Not cool as in....

I like most of Peyton's commercials. Even my dad likes the new one. He rarely likes anything. To actually have him say he likes something is an event.

Of course he does Kaufman, but be honest.....did you ever get sick of seeing the Michael Jordan commercials?

    Cut that meat!
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

Yes, because I wasn't a fan of MJ, so I hated to see him in general.

When players sign endorsement contracts, they usually have stipulations on how many commercials they have to appear in, don't they? He's working for his paycheck from them.

Pretty sure that wasn't the Goose, that was Gary Padgett, who played LB on the very first Indy Colts team. Maybe Goose did it later...

Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you

I think this goes to show that none of us are millionaries.

When you have a lot of money, are in the public eye, you become a revenue machine.

Your money, especially at that level is not just for Peyton's wallet.

Beyond all the normal stuff like taxes, agents, lawyers and that stuff, Peyton and others like him have foundations, investments and other things.

When you're talking 10s or 100s of millions of dollars it becomes unusual how money changes your life.

I'm sure he doesn't just do commercials for his own wallet.

When you make that much money you become a "force" of monetary power effecting many people's lives.

It's also a boost to the franchise of the Colts, the city of Indianapolis, and the NFL.

He is a cash cow of monumental proportions for far more people than just himself.

For a Steeler fan that's pretty good Jay. Yes it was Padgett and he should have won an Oscar for that performance. I know I was convinced he ran into the garage and was knocked down.
