Post Davis' return to Indiana not out of the question

At the very least, it's an idea that has crossed several minds. Former Indiana Pacers forward Antonio Davis is said to have interest in playing for the team again.

I really dont think he would match our style that Larry/Donnie wants to play, sure he might be someone to guide the younger guys but eh...the guy has had alot of problems over the last couple of years so yeah I really wouldnt like to see him back in a pacers uniform.

If Tony could still play, it'd be one thing. We've already brought in two "leaders", one of which is on his last legs.

If he does retire, I wonder who'll take over the NBPA.

I could take him or leave him. He'd fill a role similar to Armstrong. I don't think he has much left in the tank, though.

More importantly, in that article Carlisle formally stated that he likes the idea of a JO-Harrington-Granger starting front line. Sweet.

In a vacuum, I'd be interested. But not when we already have 18 players.

Wrong, Tony's wife will beat the he!! out of anyone in the stands who makes fun of the Pacers. If we make this move then opposing fans beware.

Seriously if we get him on the cheap it could be a good pick up and a little big man education for Hulk.
You know how hippos are made out to be sweet and silly, like big cows, but are actually extremely dangerous and can kill you with stunning brutality? The Pacers are the NBA's hippos....Matt Moore CBS Sports....

i have seen my error ... this trade is now even better than picking up Al ... i cant believe i doubted it!

i dont think he was the right sort of player to mentor the hulk now .... if we got him for the minimum we would ahve to lose another player ... cant see any advantage to it based on losing another guy!

It would be fine with me if he comes back. I could deal with letting one of the younger guys go. I really hope we keep Rawle Marshall though.

Exactly plus DW already said he is not increasing the payroll anymore.

Now what are the chances we find a team somehow interested in doing a S&T Edwards fo Davis since we have to pay Edwards anyway. The league would probably pay of portion of his salary as they will with Armstrong

Then again probably would be more trouble than it's worth.

If we get Antonio we might as well get Doug Christie too. Then Kendra and Jackie can start the Pacers own Crazy Wives Club.

My first thought when I read the article was that AD maybe throwing out the Pacers name as a possible team he would play for cuz no other team is willing to pick him up.

With that said.....I wouldn't have any problem with acquiring him somehow.....if Kelvin Cato is not available. But like Shade said.....I could take him...or leave him.

But adding a 19th player to the roster would be odd and adding more players into the mix. I wouldn't be surprised if we do a two-fer-one type deal after training camp ends.

This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.

Davis reportedly plans to move to Geist, whether he plays or not. Harrington even joked about moving in with him again.
Reached by telephone, however, Davis denied those plans.
"I was, but I'm not now," he said.
Does he want to play another season?
"I doubt it very seriously," he said.
Does anyone really want a player who seriously doubts he wants to play another season?

If Antonio comes back this time he can move into Al's house.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think you cannot sign and trade a player who didn't play for you last year. So he ended up with the Knicks, right? Or was he in one of those deals?

I wouldn't mind AD back on the team, even at his age, I think he's better then Edwards, plus he would bring leadership, and I'm sure he can still knock down the 10-12 footer. If it come down to Davis or Edwards on the roster, I would rather have AD

My thoughts exactly. We gain more from giving possibly AD minutes to Josh Powell in my opinion.

We could use Kendra to fill the "enforcer" gap created when Ron Ron left.

The story sure didn't back up the headline.
