Default ESPN the magazine says SJax to release a CD

I don't know if you all can handle this (if its already been posted, please delete):

"MUSIC NOTES: Stephen Jackson is making the rounds with tracks from The Have Nots, the first CD on his Secret Society Entertainment label (fall 206). He's also in talks to ball in True Players, a hoops flick James Gandolfini may be circling. 'Everybody expects me to be a bad boy doing bad things,' the Pacer says. 'But it's a good way to relax.' "

Couldn't be any worse than Artest, and I don't think its possible to have more stereotypes in a music video than Artest if a Music video ends up getting made.

Now i am off to find out what True Players would be about. Hopefully not yet another sports movie where the "Good" team loses and they end the credits by talking about how the guys are successes now, or they went on to college.

I suppose if another Pacer were doing to get a rap album, it'd be Jackson (the remaining Brawl Buddy)

Now they just need to rap together.

There are several ultra talented rap artists.
There is a lot of B.S. as well.
I think you have been exposed to the pop culture side of things.
There are rap artists that are truly revolutionary.
My advice would be to pick up a KRS1 album rather than a Nelly album.
It would be impossible for anyone to listen to an album like Edutainment and still say rap is garbage.
Is a Jax album going to be garbage?
    Most likely!!
    1 - 2, Tinsley's coming for you.
    3 - 4, You're not a team no more.

No, the familiar part will be when he ask for time off to promote it, then Lord save us all...

I could care less as long as:

    A) He doesn't ask for time off from the team to deal with any of this.

    B) He doesn't shave the name of the film, record label, song title or any other promo crap like that into his head.

Besides, if you want to hear really awful music by Pacers players just go to FanJam and watch the rookies after the game. Always brutal.

I have no problem with rap, I just do when our players invest time in it, it's too familar of Ron-Ron.

But, I mean I'd say I don't care as long as they don't ask for time off and all the stuff Ron-Ron did.

Guys and gals. I think we're lookin at this all wrong. The title is "True Players" or whatnot. Atleast he's not a "Tru Warier." And players play while "wariers" fight, or start brawls. And besides, maybe this rap album will be pretty good. Who knows? We could be hearing this at the arena during timeouts and halftime! Just like Usher for the Cavs! Wouldn't that be great? I can already hear the CD blaring out now. Song track #1: How I got thrown out of Indy.

    Sweet music to my ears.

Exactly who cares ! this is the least of our worries. As long as it does not get out of hand, does not bother me. If Jeff Foster wants to do a country album that's fine with me as well.

Apparently the Secret Society Entertainment label is a fledgling start up .
They basically just have a myspace site promoting the label.
    http://www.myspace.com/secretsocietyentertainmentgroup

But the founder of the label does have a Vince Cater and Jamison
photo on the site at one of his parties

My favorite bands/arists are: Rush, Jethro Tull, King Crimson, Genesis, Yes, Gentle Giant, Camel, Tool, Van Der Graaf Generator, Ozric Tentacles, Queen, Radiohead, Peter Gabriel, Bill Bruford and The Parliaments/Funkadelic.

How exactly is writing down a bunch of stupid stuff and saying it real fast, over a beat that some producer took ten minutes to make talent? Not that I care about lyrical content when I listen to music anyhow.

Just kidding guys I love rap

I don't know why people get so bothered about what someone does in their personal time. If you want to pay SJax's bills and raise his kids, and play in Pacers games for him, then that MIGHT give you some say so about what he does and doesn't do. Otherwise, STFU and mind your business.

"We Rap Together" has a ring to it doesn't it? Hmmmmm

I see Wayman was mentioned. Someone should take a listen to some of Wayman's rapping.

Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.
