Well, the masses have spoken and we have a date set.

    Saturday, December 16th.

Now lets work on the location.

The only choice I veto is downtown. Call me a wimp, I don't care. As for having it at Jose's house I wouldn't do that to Mrs. Jose.

Perfect choice Anderson... Castleton would be a close second.

The Red Garter lounge is the logical choice. It's the only place that matches our refined sophistication.

LOL - as someone who used to frequently drive through NJ, NYC and LI I heartily agree.

For the most part, folks in Indiana know how to drive. There are a few idiots, but remarkable enough to notice - on the Jersey Pike they were the rule. I always enjoyed hauling a horse trailer and someone would decide to cut in right behind me - somehow failing to notice that the trailer was attached to my truck. Being cut off while hauling 5 or 6 horses and having to jam on the brakes hard enough to bounce them off the walls was special too.

Kinda wish I had those parking problems in Boston...or the 5 dollar mall sized parking structures...

The KIng has spoken I guess. ITs hard to find quite places downtown
especially on Saturdays but I'm up for anything as long as it appropriate.

General downtown traffic in December. Trying to find a parking place. Walking back to my car at 3AM.

Have it at my house and it can be a pool party, even if it's December.
The poster "pacertom" since this forum began (and before!). I changed my name here to "Slick Pinkham" in honor of the imaginary player That Bobby "Slick" Leonard picked late in the 1971 ABA draft (true story!)

I voted downtown, and Grace I have secured some transportation, to help with your parking concerns.

Downtown options, I could help but having never attended one before I don't know what kind of situation the PK has giving you - price, private room/space, TVs, number of people, etc.

So I voted PK since that seems to be the normal situation. But places like Chaamps or the Ram could fit the people and would have sports on TV too. Price might be an issue, or seating arrangements, whatever.

Oh, there's one I forgot to mention.

BTW, agree on the "problems" in Indy. Wake me when rush hour means stopped highway traffic for 3 hours each morning and night and regardless of there beign an accident or weather issue (it only gets worse then). Houston made me want to rather than commute into town from anywhere on the westside. Same as Chi, LA, or any of the usual east coast suspects.

And parking, I get mad in Indy if I don't find a space on a daytime meter within 2 blocks, I'm upset if I pay more than $3 for 5-6 hours of parking. Try doing that in Chicago ever. You get so spoiled here, its so easy to get around.

I agree with Grace, downtown parking is a nightmare. And with as long as our parties are, it would cost a fortune to park in a garage.

The closer to Indianapolis, the better. Though I'm kinda intrigued at having a party at Jose's house.

Look, I know to all the big city dudes on the board driving in Indy is no big deal. Honestly it isn't unless it's during the Christmas shopping season. Unless you really want me to show up at the party having a conniption fit we're better off having it somewhere else.

And for those of you who think watching me have a conniption sounds fun ask Kegboy--it's not.

I personally will never drive north of, say, 10th street to attend one of these. I live on the south side, and that's where I prefer to stay. That's why I voted for Downtown. It's central to everyone, and while I understand the north side bias (as it exists in everything involving Indy), it's a bit selfish to only have these events be accessible to Northsiders.

Not that I'd ever call people from the north side elitist snobs, at least, not to their faces
