    GREAT start to the day.

Had a huge plate of pasta for lunch and a big old steak for dinner last night - and what I left in the toilet this morning had to break some kind of record - and after a moment of indecision that had me reaching for the plunger, gravity & water even took it where it belonged.

Is that an age thing? Used to be getting laid in the morning was THE way to start a day.

    Life is good.

Just got back in town. Saw a ton of deer - probably a dozen or so bucks.

No pope and young ( no shooters).

I rattled a buck to the base of my tree last night but he just wasn't there yet.

In a couple of years he could be a monster.

    The Indiana rut looms.

    Welcome back.

I'm glad to know there are at least a few other tree people willing to sacrifice in the name of conservation. There is a high degree of "if-it-walks-shoot-it" mentality in west-central Indiana....

Hmmm I seem to have a bit of rumbling and general uneasiness from my lunch today.

The solution, as should be the solution to all problems, is more whiskey.

You ever have enough whiskey to lose the memory of 3 solid days?

Uhh me neither. But I'm willing to bet geezer has.

When it comes right down to it, nothing can save the day quite like 2 Immodium ADs.

Thanks. It's good to be back although the thought of work isn't great.

Does not remembering an entire week of Mardi Gras Parades and parties in New Orleans Count?

Although I couldn't tell you what I was drinking....May have been whiskey, but it was more likely rum down there.....

I do have a few pictures from the week that someone gave to me afterwards. It didn't look like I was standing up straight in any of the pictures.....I think the guy was holding the camera cockeyed, and the ground was slanted.....But maybe it was me....

OK, how hard to put up a ladder stand? I see Dicks has them on sale and I'm too old for the climber anymore. Ah heck, I'm too LAZY for the climber anymore.

    So, a 1-man 15' stand....how difficult? 2 people to get-r-up or can I do it alone?

I thought people your age shouldn't be climbing on ladders for fear of a broken hip or something. And I'm not sure the Med alert works in the woods when you scream "Help, I've fallen and I can't get up"

believe me, the group I hunt with would put me down like a horse if I were in that condition.....right after they had their way with me .

I even had my hand on the plunger - but everything just aligned right, it kind of slowed for a minute & then the spin cycle took over.

It's doable with 1 person. But I would recommend 2 if at all possible. I would try to use someone other than your hunting friends from Deliverance though...

My guess is when they got sick of hearing him scream they'd just hand him a gun and:

Or maybe go to a safe distance and

Of course they might be benevolent, and let him himself to death while they leave.

So many bad things happen when a sideways dook crams a flush hole. We're talking about unnecessary brown streakage, and abundance of used Charmin, and generally bad odors.

It's always nice to see one circle the wagons and go to wherever it is giant turds go.

    I salute you.

They either go into politics or go to work for Lilly. Sometimes both.
