    Default Ben Gordon anyone?

What are everyone's opinions on Ben Gordon? He is athletic as hell, can score, defend, and is very clutch in the 4th. Word on the street is that he doesn't get along with Skiles. Anybody know?

I'd take him, as long as he works on becoming more efficient with his scoring. And seeing as he is young and improving, he probably would.

Oh boy, Marquis and Ben in the backcourt would be great. Marquis could cover bigger guards and Ben could cover the smaller, faster guards. I've always wanted Ben. He's not just "a little better than Fred." He is SO clutch and a guy who steps up, takes the shot, and makes the shot. He's got the guts of a burglar. We need those guys on our team.

Who would play point, rexnom? I think personally it is important to this team to have an established, traditional point guard?

I think someone like Ben would complement Marquis well enough that we wouldn't need a traditional point guard the entire game. I'd try to keep AJ as a stabilizing force off the bench. I've always liked guys like Ben and Delonte West simply because they can be complemented well by Marquis and vice versa.

Ive always been a fan of his, but i doubt the Pacers could work out a trade for him sadly

I've been pushing for Ben since the beginning of the offseason.

Despite his issues with Skiles, what would we have to offer in order for them to trade away arguably their best 4th quarter scorer?

Bulls won't trade away Gordon. They need his scoring. Only way we get is if we put together a larger package involving JO.

You can't have Ben Gordon, but you can have Benny the Bull in stead.

Yes I think Paxson said they would need a no brainer type trade for them to part with Gordon at this time.

Are you sure you want him?

“Benny the Bull” was arrested at the Taste of Chicago after taking a swing — in costume — at an off-duty police officer who was trying to get him to stop riding around on a mini-motorcyle.

I've been pushing for us to get rid of Bowser for a while and although he has "attitude problems," Benny's talent is undeniable. Well worth only Bowser. Boomer is our franchise mascot anyways.

No chance The Bulls give him up. Kid's at least a top 5 shooter in this league, and one of it's most clutch players, already.

I'll trade Benny's lard *** and attitude problems for Bowser. I know there is a trim mascot in there just waiting to get out. However, according to Real GM in order to even out salaries you have to send DJ Paul B too.

No DJ Paul B but we will send you those guys who pretend to play motors like drums at introductions.

Ben here would be freaking amazing. Him and Quis as the starting backcourt would extremely exciting and efficient. There are reasons this may but probably won't happen.
    Reasons it may:
    1) Gordon is not holding hands with Skiles, and the two do not have a functional/happy relationship.
    2) They just drafted Theoblofa (or however you spell it) to add to their glutton at the SG/SF position (they have Deng, Hinrich, Nocioni, and Duhon).
    3) Bulls are pushing the cap now that they have Ben Wallace and may want our trade exception.

    Reasons it won't:
    1) He's the best scorer/creator on a Bulls team that has become a completely defensive team.
    2) He can be rotated in and out of lineups along with Heinrich and Duhon so that the 3 will always be fresh and productive.
    3) The Bulls can get much more for him than we can offer.

All in all, it probably won't happen and we need to dream on in Pacerland . But a name that really intrigues me who can complement Marquis perfectly if Marquis plays the 1, is Kareem Rush.

I've been wracking my brain trying to think of a scenario that works, and I can't come close. I don't think we have anything that the Bulls would take for Gordon.
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

Really? You don't think they'd want Harrison?
