Default 2010 NBA Playoffs: (1) Cleveland vs (8) Chicago

We're really spoiled with the 1/8 matchups this year, aren't we? First Kobe/Durant, now Lebron/Rose.

The first Cavs/Bulls series in 16 years. You think the whole city of Cleveland will be out for blood after all those years of torment at the hands of Jordan?

Cavs in 4. They might threaten million-dollar fines for letting the Bulls break 70 points.

Key matchup: Derrick Rose vs Mo Williams

Yeah this won't be a series-changer, but realistically, there isnt a matchup that will win the Bulls this series anyhow. If they want to win one game, it'll have to be Rose leading the way.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

Sounds exactly like what everyone was saying when the Bulls took on the Celts.

I think the Bulls will get a game. Rose is that good. Plus keep in mind the Bulls are better than their record. if you look at their record since January 1st and Noah plays they are much above .500. Right now the Bulls are better than an injured Bucks team for sure and as good as the Bobcats and heat and probably Celtics

Joakim Noah said the Bulls are ready to "shock the world," but idk about that lol. Hate to say it, but Cavs easily get this series.

I hated Noah at Florida, but the more I see him in the NBA the more I enjoy him. especially when he called Lebron a *****

The Bulls is a good 8th seed team but I would be really surprise to see them even to win more than 1 game. It will be a sweep.

With the exception of much, much less firepower with Salmons, Gordon, and Thomas all playing elsewhere.

Cavs will sweep....Remember, the Bulls skated in the playoffs and it depended on the last regular season game. Lasts years Bulls were better.

Do you know what the Bulls record was since January first when Rose and Noah both played. I don't know exactly, but I believe it was about 10 games over .500. When the Bulls are healthy they are almost a 50 win team. Are they better than last year, not sure, Rose is betterm Dang is back, and Noah is better. Sure they lost some players, but I think they are about the same.

The key to the series is thay the Cavs are better than the KG-less Celtics.

OK< I just looked it up and if my math is correct the Bulls were 27-15 since January 1st when both Rose and Noah play - that would put the Bulls at 53 wins for a whole season

Wilbon and Magic Johnson with maybe the worst playoff prediction segment I've ever seen.

High seed wins every single series, Cavs over Lakers in finals. Wow, that's some really thoughtful analysis, guys. Taking the higher seed every time is really putting yourselves out there.

Rose is working against Chicago right now. He's pushing the tempo and Chicago isnt good enough offensive to play at this pace.

So it would have been better if they picked a lower seed even if they thought it wouldn't happen?

There's nobody that thinks there is zero chance of an upset anywhere in the playoffs.

But to answer your question, yes. Even if you don't think any team will pull off an upset, go out and find the best upset possibility, even if its a 4/5 series, at least to put yourself out there. Going chalk is terribly lazy and a waste of everyone's time. It's not giving the viewer anything they didn't already know.

What they did was go by every team's regular season performance and extent it to the postseason. They may as well have picked the champion by looking at the standings.

I can't imagine the uproar if some jackass went out before the NCAA tournament and just picked the higher seed every time. He'd lose his job.

Sounds like the problem isn't who they picked, but a flawed segment. The NBA is one of if not the easiest to predict who will win in the playoffs, so the mistake was even making a segment about predicting the winners. The segment should have been something like, "What are the 3 most likely upsets in the first round, and why?"

I think the Spurs, Jazz, and Heat all have a good chance of pulling upsets in the first round. I bet one of those three teams win.

Wilbon's a horrible NBA analyst. Fantastic on PTI, but bad in the studio. He doesn't do the proper level of research. And Magic's never been that great. Ernie, Kenny, and Charles raise everyone's game.

Going from ESPN/ABC studio teams to TNT's is like going from the National League to American League in baseball.
