Id put them on NBATV too.

The other series intrigue me more as a fan, and I'm a traditionalist. The fringe NBA watcher is even more in favor or that than I am.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

We have to face the facts the Bulls vs Heat will get better ratings. If I were running TNT I'd pick that series and I wouldn't think about it twice.

If people in Indianapolis don't care about this series, then why would we expect the rest of the country to want to watch this series

I'm not really suprised. Both the Lakers/Suns and Heat/Bulls series generate better ratings, whether anyone likes it or not.

It really doesn't bother me if we don't get on national television. I can see where people who don't get WB4 or Fox Sports Midwest though. It is kind of crappy, but the whole ratings thing is true. People don't care how good a series is as long as there is some big name out ther (Shaq, Kobe, DWade),

    and what?

it doesn't matter where it's being broadcast...
just be happy we're in the playoffs and doing well.

btw, if i ran TNT, i would put on MIA-CHI too.
Shaq and Wade mean ratings... they're about making money and getting ratings, period.
Let's not try to make it more than that, because that's what it is.

I think one argument here might be the length of the first round series...if we were looking at 3/5 instead of a 4/7 series, then the first round would automatically attract a larger audience and then every game would have to be televised...I agree that if Shaq is playing his series is going to get the coverage over our O'Neal from a marketing standpoint...(also, I should mention that I like the 7game series)

For some reason I'm getting NBATV for free since I didn't sign up for it in my cable package. Is that true for everyone that has it available?

Unfortunately no, for some of us, they moved the channel to some sports package that you have to pay for each month. I'm paying $2.00 per month (it all started last month). I'll cancel it after the playoff's.

I'd rather watch the Bulls/Heat series and I post here. Of course right now I'd rather see the Pacers/Net over the Pistons/Bucks series but I'm not about to not watch my own team play.

Worth noting again that NBAtv games are being simulcast on channel INHD for folks w/ High Def packages.

    Better than TNTHD!
