I thought it was too upbeat. It had too much of a "we can beat this" attitude that I do not see where the conflict can come from in Season 3. Its turning into the exact same thing as West Wing, except replace Genoa with MS.

EDIT: In reference to the Newsroom Season Finale, don't know where the quote went.

Has there ever been a more brutal (in a good way) episode of Breaking Bad, at least on an emotional level? Wow.

    Spoiler Spoiler:
This episode was probably the best hour of TV I have watched. The whole entire episode I was on an emotional rollercoaster.

How in the name of God do you go from "my first thought was of UBL" to confirming the willingness and eagerness to start a war in Iraq? If you want to make the argument that they wanted to go to war in Iraq fine, but one has nothing to do with the other in the context of the quote from this TV show. At no point in time did Andrew Card ever mention Iraq.
Because for about 3-4 years after 9/11 they used the idea of UBL as the catalyst behind every thing they did. Before the whole WMD fiasco, it was all Saddam was helping UBL and Al Qaeda. Even though for a majority of the Bush years they had no idea where UBL was hiding and who was helping him.

Earlier in this thread I was pretty confident there would be a Season 3. Now...not so sure. Wasn't a big fan of that ending.

I just starting watching Breaking Bad a couple weeks ago and am already on Season 4. Hoping to be caught up in the next week or so.

So, I've never taken acid before, but I have to think it's something akin to watching this program. I defy anyone to name a stranger show that broadcast on network television.

watched two new sitcoms last night on FOX.

Dads was really awful. Not funny, not good.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine - was really good. Funny, good characters. Will watch going forward. if it can keep the quality anywhere near the pilot, this will be an excellent show.

I agree with you on Brooklyn Nine-Nine. I do feel Dads had to get the obligatory origin of why Seth Green's character's dad came to live with him. That really stalled the process of learning who the two main characters were. After the show there was a bump for the next episode, and it looked substantially more hilarious than the pilot episode.

American Gothic had it's moments but I'll give you that this is up there. But sadly, I liked it.

'Breaking Bad' Final Episodes Will Be 'Extra Long'
Breaking Bad fans, it's time to retool those DVRs. According to a recent tweet from writer-producer Peter Gould, the series' final two episodes will be "extra long," running past their standard hour length. (TV Guide has the episodes clocking in at 75 minutes.)

Gould tweeted the info in response to a question about the length of the final episode. The news should be a pleasant surprise for Breaking Bad diehards, many of whom are still reeling from the emotional onslaught of Sunday's brutal episode, "Ozymandias."

The penultimate episode, "Granite State," was written and directed by Gould. It airs this Sunday at 9 p.m. EST on AMC.
