Yes, it's only available through netflix. It's one of their original series.
I would compare to The West Wing meets The Sopranos. I'm not saying it's as good as either of those shows, but it's got the high production value, the politics, and the shadiness. So far it doesn't have the great ongoing character interaction of a show like the west wing, but I could see it growing to that point possibly. It's also got some great dark humor that I enjoy.
I'm still enjoying Orange is the New Black.
Watching 'Spaced' on Netflix now. I'm a huge Simon Pegg/Edgar Wright/Nick Frost fan. Have never had the chance to watch this, I'm 3 episodes in. Enjoying it so far.
Didn't find this out till last week, but LoK is back next month. One of the best shows on TV, no ****ing around.
Again I have to state this, I am watching Buffy the Vampire slayer for the first time so often times I am shocked when I see actors/actresses today that I am watching from almost 16 years ago for the first time.
Tonight I had another horrific realization and I didn't even catch it at all until my wife & I were trying to figure out who a person was in a commercial for a new series on STARZ. Out in the crowd sets a very elderly looking Anthony Stewart Head (Giles).
But that is not what got me, what got me was that I immediately recognized him as Giles and my wife (who refuses to watch Buffy with me) immediately recognized him as Uther Pendragon from Merlin.
Needless to say you could have knocked me over with a feather as it never once struck me that he played both parts.
Call it a kids movie if you want, but How To Train Your Dragon was legitimately good. I'm excited for the second one.
that's supposed to be in the movie thread but whatever, same deal
I finished Orange is the New Black last night. I thought that was a very good show. Season 2 will make or break it, though. I don't know, but it strikes me as the kind of show that had a lot of good ideas but I wonder how many more it can have for a second season when we've already met a lot of the characters and their histories.
This pulled me off of Season 3 of Deadwood, which I will probably resume today. I was only 2 or 3 episodes in.
I guess I'll also mention that I'm re watching Breaking Bad Season 2 with Roaming Gnome since he'd never seen it. He was lukewarm at best to Season 1, but I suspect he may like this season better so far. We're four episodes in, and I think we'll be able to get a few more in next week.
I didn't realize Laura Prepon (DONNA!!! From that 70s show..) was in Orange is the New Black. I may try to watch a few episodes because of that.
I think I'm about to be sucked into watching the repeat of the vma's. I may be the only person who feels this way, but I find crazy/stripper Miley amusing. Also..N'sync.
Dexter is so dumb now, please just release all 3 episodes so I can just see the ending.
Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.
