Anybody else disappointed with the walking dead this season?

    Spoiler Spoiler:
Not any more than last season. It's a mediocre-ly written and acted show with great makeup, effects, and set pieces. I watch it because, for 5-10 minutes every episode, there might be something that's never been on TV before. I don't get disappointed as much as I just smh, thinking, "Oh, there goes one of the other unlikable characters going and doing something irrational and uninteresting."

All caught up on Parks and Rec and Happy Endings. Mee-yax is one of my favorite characters on TV; a great hang-out show in general.

    Yip... Good job.

I think all the episodes this season are ending on good cliffhangers. But like I said in another post, they seem to be putting a lot of distracting storylines into the season. The murdered prostitute storyline that's currently slowly unfolding. It just seems from out of left field, not necessarily true to the characters (although hard to say without seeing what's going to be revealed with it's slow reveal), and really more distraction than anything. I'm kind of wondering if that storyline is going to be Dexter's ticket to a 'get out of jail free card' of sorts as the season unfolds. The writers have a lot of work to tie some of this stuff up.

Also, along the lines of what Peck was talking about and the shark jumping possibilities- When Deb is with the psychiatrist I swear I don't know how they were able to keep a straight face while shooting the scene. Some of it was like a skit on SNL. I mean, all the things that's happened to her over the seasons of the the show that you can kind of accept (or forget about) sound REALLY over the top when recited like that.

Seriously, I couldn't have kept a straight face during those scenes. I mean if SNL wanted to parody Dexter I'm not sure they'd need to write anything differently for those scenes other than tweak the delivery of the lines.

Not at all disappointed. Especially liked the ending of the mid-season finale. They explained what went into shooting the final scenes during Talking Dead. Interesting how much thought goes into the episodes. I can't wait until February when the series returns.

    Spoiler Spoiler:
That said, the rest of the episode was about a 'B'. Some really ridiculous character stuff mixed in with some solid character stuff. I am looking forward to it continuing a little more than before.

I still have the latest episode of Walking Dead to watch, but I just watched 2 to almost catch up.

A bit disappointing so far, it's having a sophomore slump close to Heroes, but I don't think it'll get as bad as Heroes. I at least feel each episode is getting better.

Wife is in to Glee and Grey's Anatomy and I even tried to watch a couple of episodes. Glee is just stupid. Grey's Anatomy is just totally *****ed up and not even close to the bounds of reality. Told her she'll need to watch that crap on her laptop. lol

The typical Thursday night comedies, always sunny, the league, community, and the office. Recorded Beavis and Butthead. Good episodes all around. Some of the stronger ones this season

I'm starting to wonder if Louis (or Lewis sp?) the intern is really going to be the big twist this season.

Started watching Misfits on Hulu. It's a U.K. show that's basically Heroes but instead of sexy high schoolers, the kids are (adult-aged) British delinquents. I'm loving it so far.

IOW... there's a lot of stuff to be tidied up that could make or break the season. This season is either going to be pretty good IMO or an insult to the intelligence at the end.

Aren't we fairly close to the season's final episode?

It almost seems like they are trying to set things up for future seasons, but given that it was just signed on for two more seasons like two weeks ago, I can't see them writing it that way.

It certainly will be interesting to see how things play out. I've enjoyed the season quite a bit.

Watched the first 8 episodes of "Homeland" and I have so say I really like it. It's not as flashy or fast going as some other shows, but I like the character development and how the story is progressing, besides that I've always liked the actor who plays Brody and who played Winters in "Band of Brothers". It's good to see his acting on a tv-show again.
