I got the entire Sopranos box set for Christmas. I've watched the first 9 episodes of Season 1. What an outstanding series. I'm guessing it won't take me too long to finish it.

Community seemed slow. I want the wit back. The Zach Graff and Scrubs reference made me chuckle but that was about it. Still better than last season.

Anyone watch the British show Black Mirror? I read about it on Grantland and since it was only 6 episodes over two seasons, I figured it was worth a watch. Really, really good stuff. My favorite was The Entire History of You.

The repilot had a lot of table setting, but I though they were both pretty vintage Community. A lot of little jokes in there that didn't feel forced. Plus, anything with Nic Cage gets me. Abed going into God-mode made me laugh harder than anything in a while. Plus, I've been re-watching some of season 4 on DVD and just...damn.

I really enjoyed the first two episodes of season 5. You can feel Harmon's presence.

Sherlock S3 E2- A little different than the earlier eps...more comedy and growth of Sherlock and less about the case. Looking forward to the last ep next week
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

I've started season one. Decent, light, entertaining TV. I prefer more intense drama

If you can stomach subtitles, I recommend The Returned on Sundance channel. The opening music is reason alone to watch

Season 1 is IMO not very good. But muddle your way through it, and get to season two and if you watch all of season 2 and still don't like it, then it might not be for you.

I forced myself through season 1, and decided not to watch anymore. Like you I figured it just wasn't my type of show. But after hearing, and reading how great season 2 and after were, I decided to watch season 2 and I am glad I did.

Even the writers said season #1 they were trying to figure what they were doing with the show and character, and didn't hit their stride until season 2.

No it never turns into Breaking Bad or the Wire and still has the wry humor, but it gets much more intense in a subtle way

Is Justified basically a Deadwood but on regular cable and modern era?
Just because you're offended, doesn't mean you're right. ― Ricky Gervais.

What if someone from a school of business or management school were to ask, How did you do this? How did you get the Pacers turned around? Is there a general approach you've taken that can be summarized?

    Larry Bird: Yeah, patience.

    I haven't seen Deadwood, but Justified isn't a western.

I do enjoy Season 1.My problem is that I keep stumbling onto other good, easier to catch up on shows. Rectify, The Fall, Top of the Lake are all only one season and just as compelling

Agents of Shield - They explained why/how Coulson came back from the dead. I'm enjoying the show.

Haven't seen tonight's ep yet but I concur with Dr. Aesop and his "forced" comment. Last season it felt like most of the episodes were Port and Guarascio pleading with fans to love them (the low points being the convention and the finale). The first two eps of season 5 were clever and effortless. Not the funniest of the series but Harmon's season 2 and 3 were slow starters, too. That's not to say season 4 was a complete disaster - Jim Rash's body swapping ep, Sophie B Hawkins and the Puppet episode were fairly close to some of the less funny Harmon-helmed eps (Pharmacology, Chang Dynasty, etc). But I'm quite happy with what I watched and glad to have a steady hand (or, as steady as Harmon's vodka soaked hands are capable of) steering the show.

I look forward to the improbable sixth season and companion movie.

Can't really embed the video due to work constrictions, but the new GoT trailer for season 4 was released last night. (Almost has 6 million hits already)

Should be action packed from the beginning.

Yes, I'm definitely already addicted to The Sopranos.

I notice I don't watch a lot of the same shows you guys do. These days I'm watching Night Court and Murphy Brown from the beginning I was really young when it originally aired and never saw the show from the beginning but I am now.

Never realized how many cast changes Night Court went through

I tried several times to watch the Sopranos and while I respected the acting, writing, directing and fully acknowledge it was a quality show, I didn't have the desire to continue watching. Probably have seen 10-12 shows and enjoyed them well enough, but nothing hooked me

    Here you go:

I've been listening to the audio books, and I'm not early into 'A Feast for Crows', so I have a good idea of everything that will happen in Season 4. Should be very fun to see how they bring it all to life.

Does the Mafia interest you? Do you like Mafia related movies? Mafia related movies/shows interest me a lot, as my username indicates.

I think The Sopranos is my favorite show along with Seinfeld. But I admit that there are a ton of shows I haven't seen. I've never watched a minute of Breaking Bad. I'm obviously late as hell to The Sopranos. I guess I'll watch Breaking Bad in about 2020 if I follow the same pattern.
