I love the Brit mysteries / procedurals....downloaded 3 seasons of Touching Evil (late 90s) and 6 seasons of Wire in the Blood (early 2000s), both starring Robson Green.

Most excellent. Good whodunits, particularly the Wire in the Blood series. Mind you, one season here equals about 6 hours of show. Eight 45 minute installments, paired, so there are four 1 1/2 hour episodes. A couple of the seasons were longer.

I'm currently downloading all seasons and 2 movies of The Sweeney, which apparently was the Brit flagship of cop shows. It starred the guy who played Inspector Morse on the BBC / PBS series, in his younger days.

Just watched Bob's Burgers. Wow, that show was made for "special" people. Everyone is absolutely retarded and not even funny.

Don't recommend this show at all. Wow, really really bad.
Care to elaborate more? I think its incredibly witty. I think you watched the spaghetti western episode. How could you not love the son going around as "banjo" using a barbie sing along guitar!? Hilarious. One thing I didn't like about that episode is how Bob just all the sudden does the right thing at the end to apologize to the ABS counselor. I've noticed that is a trend with this show is that they will build up the hilarious feuds between Bob and other secondary characters in a grand crescendo, and then seem to end them on whimper. But the build up is hilarious.

I only visit this thread periodically, so I apologize if it has been discussed, but did anyone watch Shameless on Showtime? I just finished the first season and I really enjoy that show.

Speaking of Showtime, their new period drama (no doubt following up on the success of The Tudors) The Borgias debuted recently. I haven't seen it yet, but being a huge history buff I have high hopes for it being entertaining. Anyone catch the first episode?

Just watched the season 3 finale of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Pretty good, but surprised that it focused on Asohka most of the episode. Right now, it seems like Asohka could be another major factor for Anakin turning to the dark side. I wonder what her fate will be?

It was a pretty good season overall.

Just wished they would do a series that isn't related to Anakin/Darth Vader. Or at least do a series after the Star Wars VI events. I'd love that too.

Just caught the pilot episode of The Killing on AMC. My first thought was that "Oh God this is going to be another Police procedural show".

That was thrown out as of tonight.

This is going to be one hell of a show, I think.

In all honesty you have to give it some time as initially it takes a little to build up, but once it get's going it's really very good.

The reviews were excellent, and I love the idea of 13 episodes to solve one crime. So that is good enough for me. It is on my DVR.

Just a note, the pilot was shown last night but also the first regular episode followed it

That's why I liked the first season of Damages so much, and Veronica Mars. I'll be tuning in.

Just watched the pilot of The Killing, with the first episode getting ready to run. Hey, I like cop procedurals, if they're smartly done. So far, looks pretty good. Good cast, seems like.

    ------------------

So I went on and watched the first episode that wraps up the 2 hr premier. Good mystery. Definitely tuning in again.

Caught the premiers of Camelot & the Borgia’s.

Both shows will definitely be on my DVR list each week.

While both premiers were well done, I will have to say Camelot stood out between the two. Only a personal taste there though as I'm sure others would feel the exact opposite and be justified in their thoughts as well.

If you haven't caught either of these yet, I would suggest you give it a try.

Just watched The Killing, really like it. The show has a completely unique feel and each character seems so real. Can't wait until next week. Sure I want to know who did it, but more than that I just want to see what happens next to each character on the show

catching up on Spartacus as I've just watched the 4th episode of Spartacus: Gods of the Arena...the first few have felt more like a softcore porn than anything else...this one was good though as it should make things interesting in the next 2 episodes...

Watch part 4 of the Chopped all-stars. Chopped is one of two cooking shows I'll watch. The other is Diners Drive-ins and Dives.

I recently purchased seasons 1 and 2 of Columbo. I love that show - I have seen some episodes probably 5 times and still love it.

My mom made me watch Columbo as a kid (and I'm 30 now). Unclebuck must be very old.

I am a Peter Falk fan though. He looked like a dirty hobo solving mysteries out of thin air. Loved how you couldn't tell where he was looking at cause of his glass eye.

I completely suck at solving mysteries. I couldn't even guess who did it in Scooby Doo.

HBO's A Game of Thrones just premiered last night. Brilliant. Followed the book, awesome sets, great cast. Best thing I've seen for quite awhile....since Deadwood maybe.

If you don't have HBO, get it so you can watch this.

Or better yet, read the books by George R.R. Martin (A Song of Ice and Fire), then buy the DVDs later. This could go on for years. There are currently four books on shelves...at least 3 more to come. Figure a season per book at least.

This is the really groovy opening: http://youtu.be/s7L2PVdrb_8

    First full trailer: http://youtu.be/XfAE3hIaPm4

    Really good.

finished with Spartacus Gods of the Arena.

It wasn't as adrenaline pumping as the first season, most likely cause you knew who dies and who stays/etc...but still was good to see how it all occured...hopefully there will be a proper Season 2 for this...

Just starting watching Lost. I really liked the series, but I only made it through season 1 back when it first started, and then I didn't have cable for over a year, so I figured it would be stupid to try getting back into it until the series was all over.

Thank you Netflix! You're my new best friend.
