What's really confusing is the IP's in both link back to not identical IPs, but very similar (including the same host).

If you'd like, we can change your pw for starters. Next would be creating a new account, and restoring it with your current post count, avatar, etc. (not hard to do).

    What's that mean exactly?

Should I PM you with a new password?

Harm I had a problem once when I posted from work. I had left the "remember me" box checked near where you log in. I got up and left that computer but a co-worker who also posts at PD visited the site later that night and my log in info automatically entered and he posted several messages before he realized the error. This would explain the two nearly identical IP's with the same host problem as well. Are you perhaps in a similar situation?

We all have individual IP addresses. Though with larger internet service providers (like AOL), those numbers get shared (while one is offline and the other is not; I imagine it cycles through the 100s of IPs). When I looked at the IP address of the hack post, and your post, they both went to very similar IP addresses, and both #s traced to the same internet provider.

You may as well PM me a new password; that'd be a good start.

I work out of my home. No one else in my home comes to PD.

Someone accessed your computer, at your house with your passwd (which was probably not even needed since it will be on "remember")

Why did someone hack your computer to come to PD and post "Sick puppy"?

I dunno. But it has happened once before. Not the "sick puppy" part, but someone did post something under my username before. Basketball-related, if I remember correctly. Wouldn't have been someone in my home.

Hicks, what happened to Harmonica? Couldn't get back on here with it.

I gave it the password you PMed me. It might be case-sensitive.
