Default Pacers schedule press conference for 6:15PM

To introduce Peja. Peja has to be here by at least 6:30 or Ron cannot play for the Kings tonight.

I dont think TPTB give 3 *****s if Ron is able to play tonight...

If we do, it is more of a favor to the Kings' organization then it is to Artest.

    Link? Source?

As for the Artest thing, I was just reading about that on Kingsfans. Apparently Peja has to officially report to us before Artest can play for the Kings. I think that's a weak rule, but whatever. Glad we're not screwing them over needlessly (the trade took care of that )

Oh the "He who shall not be named" stuff? Well, I may get there, but my ire was cooled when the trade ended up happening.

Thanks. In the future, can you please say that in the original post? Otherwise it comes across as made up. Just something we all try to always do here.

Dang when I saw the title of the page I was hoping we were announcing we were trading Jackson and AJ away to Denver for Miller...

I wouldn't mind if Peja didn't report in time. Maybe someone can screw up his flight schedule.

Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you

For what it's worth, my mom mentioned she saw Peja on Conseco's elevator last night on one of the news stations. So apparently he's already here.

WTHR will show at least the beginning of in on Ch. 13. I wouldn't be surprised if ESPNews has some of it too. Maybe NBATV.

Why not let the guy play a few games before you bellyache about Peja. You asked for everyone on the team to be traded. And here you are complaining already. Good grief.

Yeah that's what I thought... but I was just wondering since he got in earlier than expected...

    Swing and a miss.

I think he's saying that since peja isn't playing anyway, he should be late to force Ron into another game of suspension.

    I think.

I think we owe the Kings a favor don't you?

Yeah, when I posted that I had read, maybe wrongly, that Peja was going to go ahead and suit up.

At any rate I'm glad the Pacers aren't taking a cheap shot at Artest or the Kings. Nothing in this situation to be gained by being a dick. Artest is getting paid by the Kings whether he is allowed to play or not.

Peja was just interviewed on Channel 13. The reporter hit him with the big question: Will you be staying here long term, or moving on after the season. Peja's answer was why not? It's a great organization, and has a reputation as such around the league, so why not?

Asked if JO's injury was disappointing and he said, "Yeah" but that the team has a reputation of bouncing back, and "playing good basketball!"

He said he's just happy the whole ordeal is over, and based on the revelations about his workout here back in 96, this should have been his team all along.
