I really like this deal for the TimberWolves.

Ricky Davis: I don'y really like the guy but I think he will play very well in Minnesota off of Kevin Garnett. He is a good slasher and a better fit than Wally, IMO.

Mark Blount: He will give them more than Kandi. They take a hit on the finance side of things but Blount helps them out.

Marcus Banks: I like his game and I think he has some talent to be a nice NBA point guard. Maybe a change of teams will help him out. He just might suprise some people like Dan Dickau did last year when he went to the Hornets.

I'm not really for sure why they ended up trading a pick. I thought it was pretty fair trade with just the players. The pick and Kandi's expiering contract are about the only things I like them getting. Of course Kandi's contract is offset by Wally's massive contract.

Pierce and Wally? It's gonna take me a while to get used to that.

Still, a good trade for Boston. Davis+Blount for Wally and cap space. Unless Ainge plans to re-sign Candyman.

I get the feeling this is tip of the iceberg w/trades.So many teams that were suppose to be good are struggling.

This trade sucks for the Celtics, Wally's contract is horrible. Should have kept Ricky

I don't see how either team gets better in this deal.

The Kings/Celts game on Friday was already drawing attention because of the prospects of Ron likely playing his 1st game in a Kings uni, now the new Celts players adds a little more to watch.

    ummmm... so is Blount's contract...

Is there an over/under on when Blount has his first multi-rebound game?

That is an excellent point. There is significant discord on many teams, including the Pacers. How many times have we heard that Artest is not the only very significant [personnel] problem on the Pacers. After all of this negotiating, I cannot see how the Pacers will not make further moves. There has to be some pieces the Pacers are salivating over.

Mark Blount makes 5 million right now - 7 million at the highest of the contract

Wally makes 10 million now - 13 million at the highest point of the contract

Like Jermaniac said. This is a bad deal for the Celtics, Wally is better then Ricky but by a very small margin.

You may be right, for some reason I was thinking tonight was Wednesday instead of Thursday. After the Friday game, the Celts don't play until next Wednesday so they probably can afford to be short-handed for 1 game.
