Remember though that NBATV of all places reported this first. NBATV, the official station of the NBA! That is incredibly irresponsible considering the deal was not final.

Larry is not coming back, he didn't have a meeting with Orlando for not reason, yeah he is coming back to the NBA but not to the Pacers, the notion that he is a taking a year off and then come back is absurd.

So RON RON did show up after all. Good. They probably left in a huff after Bird gave them the ultimatum. At least I'm hoping that's what happened.

Hopefully Bird showed Ron a briefcase full of money, slammed it shut, and then said you're this close to losing all of it. Do we understand?
You know how hippos are made out to be sweet and silly, like big cows, but are actually extremely dangerous and can kill you with stunning brutality? The Pacers are the NBA's hippos....Matt Moore CBS Sports....

Dan Patrick just said that Ron agreed to go to Sac, and the Maloofs are just waiting to talk to Ron and are trying to do that now!

FYI, the ESPN article has been updated with the following:

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2304942

[edit] Of course, isn't today Wednesday?
Guess that's why they're called ESPN.

I would put the odds at closer to 10% or less that the trade happens.
The lesson, as always, pay absolutely no attention to any posts I make.

That said, I'm shocked Sactown is still willing to take the nutjob. Good luck to you, Sacramento, you're going to need it.....

That's a very good point. If the Pacers want to get upset at anyone it should be Stern and his NBATV cronies who took the info and ran with it.

That's nuts. They did nothing wrong. The only reason they "jumped the gun" is because Ron/his agent whined about it at the 11.59th hour and completely put the breaks on it. Any other player in this league is in Ron's place, and the trade is announced by late evening or early this morning already.

Would this be the equivalent of a good swift kick in the Artesticles?

If he slammed it close enough it would turn him into a Ronich.
