Default ESPN article saying Ron isn't against trade

He just wanted to be a part of the negotiations. Why would negotiations matter to him? His contract can't change.

"There's no deal," Artest told the newspaper by telephone. "It's not that I don't want to play there ... I'm letting my agent handle things. He's taken over things."
Artest told the Star he is not against a trade but would like to be involved in negotiations.

WTF..........this is getting very crazy and sadly it probably won't lead to a trade.

The problem with this statement is that it makes no sense. First he says that its not because he doesn't want to play in SacTown.......then leaves it at "I'm letting my agent handle thiings".

WTF does that mean? Handle what? There is no hurdle to this trade OTHER THEN ARTEST HIMSELF. He's the only one that could have stopped this deal.

Ron wants to be a part of the negotiations so he can meet with the team's GM/President and determine where he would like to go.

This is probably true but it's not Ron's place to request such a thing. The Pacers can trade him to wherever they want. He doesn't have a trade kicker in his contract so I don't know why he would think he has a choice in the matter.

Larry is not coming back, he didn't have a meeting with Orlando for not reason, yeah he is coming back to the NBA but not to the Pacers, the notion that he is a taking a year off and then come back is absurd.
