    Default Guard minutes

Man, that's wild. These are as of the end of the game, so they're not official, but check out the minutes played in tonight's game:

    Gill:..........................6
    AJ:.........................34
    Tinsley:...................17
    Saras:.....................16
    Total at PG spot:.......73

    Freddie:...................32
    Jax:........................38
    Total at SG spot:.......70

So out of a total of 240 possible minutes, 143 were from our guards. That's three position's worth.
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

That's what happens when you only have one SF, and a rookie at that. The roster is terribly unbalanced, and will continue to be until we make a trade.

Even when everyone's healthy, it's pretty ****ed up:

    Tinsley/AJ/Gill
    Jackson/Cabbage/Jones
    Granger
    JO/Cro
    Hulk/Foster/Pollard

You mean AJ would play no point guard? Like that would ever happen.

The Pacers deffinetly need to get rid of some of there small guys. They have a New York problem. Too many short guys all vying for the same number of limited minutes. Get Rid of Jackson AJ and Tinsley. Tinsley is becoming more and more injury prone, Jackson is a Jackass and AJ is just plain ugly.

Might as well trade them while they still have value to other teams. And the Tinsley is nothing personal. I think he is one the best pure point gaurds in teh league but the Pacers need to start developing some of their younger guys.

We've only got 12 guys left. The answer isn't getting rid of more. We need to bring in players that will play.

Except according to this, Granger got all of his minutes at PF.

Do you really believe that's a balanced roster?

Does AJ strike you more as a scorer?

When given the chance...he can light it up. If that's the case....why doesn't he take the role of backup SG and have Sarunas pass him the ball?
Ash from Army of Darkness: Good...Bad...I'm the guy with the gun.

This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.

That's what we'd all like to know.

Guard minutes were pretty even tonight and none of them did much . Jones- Tinsley- Jasikevicus- Johnson and Gill produced a grand total of 25 points while the Bulls guards scored 45.

    Tonights minutes Johnson 30 minutes 8 points--- Tinsley 27 minutes -7 points , Jasikevicus 24 minutes -4 points , Jones 21 minutes -8 pioints , Gill 2 min. 0 points....104 minutes for 8 minutes we went with 3 guards.

Worse thing to me is with Jackson playing 38 minutes at sf , Granger has only gotten 10 minutes each of the last 2 games.

I'm sorry the Pacers can not have that lack of production from the backcourt.

Why would you be sorry? You're dead on. Jack needs to play the 2 as much as possible.
