    Default Well, with 10 days of balloting to go, here are your all-star shoe-ins....

    http://www.nba.com/news/allstar_060112.html

    From the looks of things, we have 10 mortal locks:

    East:

    C: Shaq (800,000 vote lead)
    PF: Jermaine O'neal (400,000 vote lead)
    SF: Lebron ( 1,000,000 vote lead)
    SG: too close to call: Vince and Wade only 200,000 votes apart
    PG: Iverson (600,000 vote lead)

    West:

    C: Yao (1,100,000 vote lead)
    PF: too close to call: Duncan and KG only 7,000 votes apart)
    SF: TMac (400,000 vote lead)
    SG: Kobe (1,100,000 vote lead)
    PG: Nash (800,000 vote lead)

    It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

    At least this year the players seem to be in their natural positions.

    I hate fans voting.

    WTF are guys like TMac and Yao doing in the game? Houston sucks. You atleast should have .500 record to be in the game.

    You know, I have been following this and I cannot believe that there are no Pistons in the starting lineup. Listen, I hate the Pistons as a Pacer fan, but is no one watching them at all? These guys are the best this year at the 1, 2 and 4 spots in the east. If I had to choose the team, I would put Rasheed over JO, Chauncy over AI and Rip at the SG spot. People need to pay attention to this year's performance before they vote. Not just raw scoring numbers, but overall performance.

    The Pistons will probably get 3 or 4 in the coaches vote.

    I'll be very upset if they only get two. Three would be acceptable.

    I personally like the way baseball does it, one player from each team at least. This makes for a long bench in basketball, probably prohibitive, therefore, but sometimes terrible teams will have a great player. Mitch Richmond post TMC when he was with the Kings comes to mind.

    I agree though, fan voting is something else.

    But I guess in some sense, the point is for fans to see the players they want to see, not necessarily the players the league wants to showcase.

    I'm glad you don't have a vote or final say. It'd be the Pistons vs. the West.
    Two=the number 2
    Too=means "also"
    To=many definitions-also known as the one to use when the other 2 (two, too) do not apply.

    Their=shows ownership-'it is their house'
    They're=they are
    There=many definitions-also known as the one to use when the other 2 (their, they're) do not apply

    Sorry but it bugs me when these are used incorrectly when I read posts on PacersDigest.com.

    They deserve to get at least 3 players in the game, in my opinion.

    I agree. Billups & Ben are locks, and if the Pistons keep this up record-wise, Hamilton should make it. You could even argue Sheed deserves the other frontcourt spot opposite Ben instead of Bosh or Webber.

    I think Sheed deserves to make it. If it was possible, I'd sacrifice Ben's spot to give it to him.

    Sheed showed tonight why he's one of the best big men in the entire NBA when he's on. He completely outplayed Tim duncan.

    Because of Sheed, we can single-cover everyone else and not worry about DUncan killing us by himself.

    I'd say Billups, Rip, and Ben should be in the game. Rasheed is very iffy. CWebber is have a good year, around 20-10 I believe, so it would be hard to go against him especially if Pistons have 3 others in the game already.
