    Default McGrady Hurt

TMac hurt his back again. Looks pretty bad, he left on a stretcher.

You, Never? Did the Kenosha Kid?

HOUSTON (AP) -- Houston star Tracy McGrady left Sunday night's game against Denver with a recurrence of severe back spasms.

The 6-foot-9 McGrady, who missed eight games earlier in the season because of back spasms, missed a deep jumper near the top of the key in the final seconds of the first half. He started backpedalling, stopped abruptly, bent over and crumpled to the floor, screaming in pain as the buzzer sounded.

McGrady was lifted onto a stretcher and rolled off the floor, surrounded by several team officials and owner Les Alexander. An ambulance took McGrady to the hospital.

The Rockets are already missing their other star, Yao Ming, who's out at least another month after surgery to remove an infection from his left big toe.

Guards Rafer Alston and Jon Barry recently returned from leg injuries and Derek Anderson remains sidelined with a calf strain. The backcourt trio has missed a total of 45 games this season.

McGrady had topped 30 points in Houston's last five games. He had 11 points on 5-for-14 shooting in the first half against Denver.

That really sucks. I hope he'll be OK.

*insert poorly timed, classless joke about McGrady's durability here*

    Yup, VA nailed this one.

Houston just can't catch a break this season.

Tracy is awesome though, hope he gets better.

Can't feel too bad for him. Looks like he was having plenty of "fun" before he got hurt...

I feel bad for Rox fans. We can relate, though, of course.

    I saw the highlights.

Looked pretty painful. Hope he is alright though, hell of a basketball player.

They have 1 more month to make up from there down play if that doesn't happen then yeah you can put them in the lottery list.

back problems have been an issue for tmac for quite a while and they always will be. he probably has something like scoliosis or something. i doubt he can be a reliable franchise player since this is the 2nd time this year his back has given trouble. add to the fact of tmac's slashing, athletic style of game and his back undergoes great strain.
i hope i'm wrong but, this could be the begining of the downward spiral of tmac's career. he will probably be gone for quite a while and i think from now on, the rest of the league will always think twice if tmacs name were ever mentioned in things like trades. great player, bad back.
in my oppinion- it's just a matter of time before his back goes out on him again and i would be very worried about this guys future with the team. he just seems too fragile to me.

Well that probably means he will end up a Pacer.

ha ha, unfortunately, you probably aren't too far off. that would make the team almost complete. we could have a semi-starting lineup of tins, tmac, jermaine and foster. you would then just wonder who is going to be out. one of those guys you could almost count on being sick or injured.

The way he went down looked baaaad. He went from standing up to on his knees than just down on the ground holding his back.

Could the Rockets get the luck of the Spurs and land a game changer in the lottery? Imagine having the first pic with Ming and T-Mac coming back.
