It was the Pacers for sure. Don't remember her name, but wasn't it like in the 70's?

You know... I might've framed my question wrong. But you are on the right track. Ann Meyers is the female in question and she was signed by the Pacers. I'm not sure whether she was drafted or signed as a FA tho.

I believe there was an earlier female drafted by another NBA team but never actually signed (so she got no money, Ann did get paid).

IIRC, Ann Meyers later married Don Drysdale. She had an older brother, Dave Meyers, who was a first team All American at UCLA in the early 70's, played several years with the Bucks and retired early to become a minister.

Penny Ann Early is the only woman to ever play in a professional men's basketball game. 1968 Kentucky Colonels. Inbounded the ball and was immediately taken out. She was a jockey at Churchill Downs. Complete publicity stunt. I knew my ABA knowledge would come in handy some day. Oddly enough, I saw some pics from that once and she was wearing what looked to be a cheerleading sweater and some weird kind of shoes. Almost like nurse shoes or something. Good thing she didn't actually try to PLAY in that getup.

Occasionally, when I was analysing +/- stats.

BTW, maybe someone could send me trivias to hehe[at]centras.lt If someone will, maybe I'll make some educational games about pacers.
