    NO

Jermaine is an elite player. Dwight is good but you don't know if that raw potential on offense will develop into anything.

Only way you do this is if the Pacers have decided to go with a complete top to bottom overhaul.

oh hellz no! JO has done way too much for us, the community, the organization etc. and I'm not really sure whether Dwight will be better than JO down the road.

I would trade Jermaine for Dwight Howard as long as Dwight is a character guy we could build around.

I was very disappointed by JO hanging on the rim last night. One might think that is no big deal, but it is about time for him to grow up. The more of that immature stuff from JO on top of Jax, Artest and Tins makes me think we need a clean slate. Age is no longer the problem. It is the character of this group of players that is the problem.

[Edit: Dwight just turned 20 a few weeks ago and will improve dramatically. He will be only 22-23 and good as JO in a few years IMO.]

Dwight is putting up 20-20 games right NOW. In no way is he a project.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

Yes, he is no project. He is great now, but will be even better in a couple years. He is not as good as Jermaine right now, but not too far behind. I think if we rebuild right now, Jermaine is not untouchable either. If we just replace 2 or 3 pieces, I would keep Jermaine for now.

I just love Howard's knack for rebounding. I think he could become one of the all-time great rebounders in NBA history.

If the Pacers decide to rebuild I think they will go after Dwight. unless they can make good trades down the road.

He reminds me a bit of Shawn Kemp. If Dwight has a brain, he will have a much better career.

    No doubt about that.

Not many guys averaging 12 rebounds in their second year.

They wouldn't. I don't think that was the point of the question, though.

Exactly.. thats why i voted YES.. plus he is a great offensive player and very unselfish and even more mature than JO already.

As of right now, no but if Pacers management decides to totally rebuild then I saw yes. That is unlikely though.

I traded Artest & Foster for Howard and kept Jermaine @ the C, what a team what a team, Rebounding Galoire.... I LOVE NBA LIVE...

    Tinsley, Freddie, Jaxon, Howard, O'neal

Seruisly, I'm happy with Jermaine and want to keep him, but if they made the trade I woulden't be to upset

On another Note, I started a franchise with Orlando, dumped some bad salery and traded Turk and Battie to the Lakers for Bryum... tanked me first year and would up with the No 1 pick in 06, drafted a PG, Moved Francis to the SG had Kyle k @ the SF, Howard @ PF and Byrum @ C and won a championship... ( it was simmed too )

Orlando has massive potential to become a leader in the NBA, Better then Nash and Stoudamire if they get next years draft right and sign some good FA's

if only they had drafted Granger this year....

Ya Think Ya Used Enough Dynamite there Butch...

WTF are you guys smoking. J.O. is one of the only guys on the team who has shown leadership, played through injuries, and brought his "A" game almost every single night this season. He's a proven commodity and a top 10 player in the league, top 4 or higher at his position. And you wanna trade him for freaking Dwight Howard?

Granted, Howard is a nice player and has major upside, but you do not trade a player for J.O. like him.

J.O. is NOT the problem with this team folks.

Howard is a lousy scorer and not a great defender. He can rebound, that's it.

"Yes" or "No" depending on what route management wants to take for the future.

If we are going into a full-fledged rebuilding with draft picks or a situation where we are going to trade for 2nd, 3rd and 4th year players THEN I would say "yes", let's do it. Any other scenario "No". Hell no, isn't an option to me.

I vote no just because JO has the best post moves in the NBA. If he actually started trying to get close to the basket I can only imagine the madness.
