Default So, what's this about Tinsley's elbow?

I missed the pre-game so other than have a sore elbow I know nothing about it. What is the soreness and what/when caused it??? Will he be out a few...day 2 day...or just taking the evening off?

Something like a collision in the SA game.
tonight, he could have played, it was game time decision so it sounds like he's okay.

He was in the mall, turned quickly and bumped his elbow against a little girl's pigtail.

He may be out for the season

Hope not, actually. I'd rather see us move AJ.
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

He is on the list for a 'heart' donor... sadly, no donor was found and we have no idea when he will return from his latest boo boo

That's my first thought as well.

I'm torn between AJ and Tinsley being moved. If Tinsley is moved, surely Sarunas will be our starting PG. If AJ is moved, Rick's love affair with him comes to an end, but does Tinsley continue to start over Sarunas? It's a tough one.

I doubt Tinsley would have sat at the bench and watched the whole game if he knew they kept him out because he would get traded.

At this point I'd rather the Pacers error on the side of trading away too many players.

Despite his tendency to be injury-prone, I'd rather have him than
AJ if a trade goes down.

Jamaal Tinsley not playing is better then Anthony Johnson playing. I pray to God that someone wants AJ in any of these Ron deals.

    AJ first, Tinsley second.

Tinsley is great for this team *when* he plays.

Too bad that's only 45% of the time.

Still, I'd rather trade the guys that are never "great" for this team any % of the time. At least trade them first.

I agree with Jay. I don't care if Tins only plays half the season as long as he is healthy come playoff time. I just want to get the trade done and then jell the team for the playoff run. We can be at least the 4th best team in the conference by playoff time and then anything can happen.

I feel very secure in saying Tinsley has attitude problems. That's the last thing we need.

BTW... since it's been confirmed (as well as it could ever be) that JO wanted Tinsley traded a couple of years back, does anyone know why? ...Or why Isiah ended up having a problem with him?

I know he has an attitude problem. He probably had it when they drafted him, but as long as he wins games then I can live with it. My only real problem with him is that he has been hurt so much. Sure i could do without that dumb leg kick dribble thing and his city ball theatrics, but he is better than any point we could get for him.

I guess I view certain types of "attitude problems" differently.

I don't mind if a guy is upset about losing playing time *at the moment* he loses the playing time.

In fact, I'd be disappointed if they weren't somewhat peeved.

I'm more concerned with how they deal with it the day after.

But then again, I've spent time "the day after" apologizing to my teammates for how I reacted "in the heat of the battle".

I think the "look at the bench, Tinsley's pouting" thing is overplayed. I'm not saying I condone it, but goodness gracoius sakes alive people.

If he's going to L.A., I think he'd do jumping jacks and pushups to help the make the trade a reality.

"Tins's elbow" is a common ailment in certain sports.

If it was "look at the bench, Tinsley looks like he's pouting, don't you think?" then I'd agree with you. But it's more than that. Maybe any one incident could be overlooked but the totality is what I base it on. And, in case someone is saying 'they don't see it'- I don't think you can see any of this from TV (unless the TV commentators happen to point it out). You have to be at the games.

This team has a maturity problem and it needs to be eliminated wherever it has roots. I have no idea why JO or Isiah wanted Tinsley traded but if Tinsley can be this obvious in person, my guess is behind closed doors it could be worse.

Put me in the "I'd rather keep often injured Tinsley over AJ" camp. I'm not a AJ hater either, I just think Tinsley has big time talent.

I hate all the injuries too, but I have a fear if he's traded he'll really blowup and be injury free.

I think Tinsley is *****-whipped and his girlfriend won't let him go to all the games..........

I just read on NBA.com that when someone gets hurt they now put them on the Tinsley list.
