    Default Zeke's coaching > Rick's coaching

This has got to be the stupidest coach in the NBA. We get a 6 point lead with Sarunas in the game in the 4th and the dumbass takes him out and we lose the lead. You IDIOT YOU DO NOT TAKE YOUR BEST SHOOTER OUT WHEN YOU CANT MAKE A DAMN BUCKET. And now he puts Sarunas in with 2 seconds left in the game. Quit the damn job if you are not going to play the best damn players.

Why did he even put him in if it was only going to be for one possesion?

I gotta admit I like Rick and I never hated him but his coaching is simpley the worst in the league I might have no choice but I want the Pacers to fire him.

I simply don't get why AJ is playing at the point so much. It just makes no sense at all, unless this is some weird attempt to up his trade value.

And when he was running the damn plays away from Jermaine what in the hell was that about, we could score a damn bucket and he is running plays for Anthony Johnson. I want this man fired after the season is over.

Default This had better be the last straw for Rick he needs to go now.

First of all our starting lineup tonight should have been

    Saras
    Fred
    Jack
    Granger
    Cro

Granger needs to be the starting sf from now on. AJ should never play point again in his remaining (hopefully short) Indiana career.

The fact that Rick would stick with AJ at the point when he had CLEARLY been the main problem in the huge Raptor run. Then when he finaly put Sarunas in AND WE SCORE he takes him out for AJ??

This is another game lost entirely through coaching.

I agree wth everything except for the part about Rick leaving. However, he's got to get his head out of his *** and quick.

I like Rick, but I have to agree with what you pointed out here Ragnar. And it's not the first something like this has happenned this year. I don't want him fired, but I do want management to tell him to limit AJ's minutes at PG just switch him to SG or something like that if Rick's afraid of not having enough "quality" minutes in the backcourt.

That game had lack of Pacer hustle down the stretch, written all over it. This team is seriously lost. Someone on the Official Pacers/Toronto thread called this before it happened too.....I can't remember who said it, but they predicted this before the game even started. This team needs to find some answers because they as a whole are playing with absolutely no conviction, no heart. Also, coach needs to fix this give away big leads or come from twenty down leak we've got going on here.

What the hell Carlisle is thinking when not playing Saras at point???? It is just not right for Saras and it is not helping Pacers to win any games lately.

I agree with EVERYTHING including the Rick leaving part.

And that should have been the starting 5 for sure with JO unable to start.

Everyone is seeing it but Rick. Even Slick said during the game that Saranus is not a SG and should be at point.

Iv had enough of people saying he needs to get with it quick. We are nearly 30 games into the season. Hes had long enough to work it out.

And if we dont get a player of Odoms, Vince Carters or Als capabilities then Donnie sucks. After all the weeks of working out the best trade we need a player that can help support JO day in day out.

Not Pietrus, Not Dunleavy, Not Kwame Brown, Not Biedrins, Not Diogu.

I don't know if we have any Piston fans here. I've studyed this game closely for a loooooonnnng time and with Rick, I believe he's had a history of being stubborn. He runs the same stuff not until its dead, but until its stinks with rot. The Pacers are really really really blowing it this year. I'm not sure I can take too much more of Rick's stubborness. For some reason, his unwillingness to try fresh game plans is worse this year.

Rick is Rick. You'll love him at times, and you'll hate him at times. But Rick is Rick. He coaches one way. You can't expect him to get out of his comfort zone and change everything.

He believes Anthony Johnson is a better defender atPG than Saras, so that's who he's going to play. Period. Given the choice between a stopper and a scorer, Rick goes stopper 99 times out of 100.

Rick has won a TON of games his way, and he has confidence that his way will win more games than any other way.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

Then why have a coach if your not going to let him do what he thinks is best. Whether we think he is right or not. If TPTB tell him what to have to tell him what then they need to get someone else.

I think Rick is a good coach and we don't always know what goes on behind the scenes that causes him to make decisions we don't understand.

I wouldnt say lack of effort. We didnt have many TOs (until the 4th) A lot of tip ins and rebounding especially Feisty who had a very nice double double.

I didn't watch the game thought so maybe I didnt see it all.

It seems like he is trying to lose, perhaps making Ron Ron appear even more valuable. I know that sounds nuts, but how can he make some of these decisions? How in the WORLD do you put AJ in as PG over Saras? Rick without a doubt is misusing Saras and there is no explanation except that he is trying to lose.

You know the funny thing is you warned us about every single thing that is pissing me off about him right now.

His refusal to start the clearly talented small foreward. His over reliance on veteran (ie:****y) players. His inability to change his game plan.

I take it you did not watch any games last year when Curry was getting quality minutes? Or in Detroit when Prince could not get on the floor.

No Rick is not trying to raise the value of Ron. He just likes crappy players.
