    Default Something just struck me about this whole Ron thing

    We have all complained over the years that the star always sugar coats, and never breaks stories.

    Well they broke one and it was not a sugar coated story either.

    You mean the Wells story/interview after SAS and Barkley were already talking about it?

    The Star didn't really break this story as much as ran out in front of it.

    All they talked about were trade talks.

    Wells scooped a much bigger deal: a public trade request from an all-star calibur player.

    Although yes in general Indy Media is no where near Philly or Ny as far being more tough or tabloid-ish.. mostly due to not as much competition...not that that's a bad thing..I'm fine with it

    YES, I want real sports journalism in this city! I'm tired of The Star acting as the PR arm of the Pacers and Colts.
