    Default How to get Pierce

Since Donnie says a trade is nearing, I thought I'd have a quick moment of fun with this blockbuster never-gonna-happen sort of trade.

    L.A. Lakers Trade Breakdown
    Outgoing
    Luke Walton
    6-8 SF from Arizona
    5.4 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 3.3 apg in 21.8 minutes
    Lamar Odom
    6-10 SF from Rhode Island
    14.9 ppg, 9.4 rpg, 5.3 apg in 39.0 minutes
    Incoming
    Ron Artest
    6-7 SF from St. John's
    19.4 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 2.2 apg in 37.8 minutes
    Gerald Green
6-8 from Gulf Shores Academy (HS)
No games yet played in 2005/06
Change in team outlook: -0.9 ppg, -8.2 rpg, and -6.4 apg.

    Successful Scenario
Due to Indiana, Boston, and L.A. Lakers being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Indiana, Boston, and L.A. Lakers had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Lakers and Pacers would always do this I think. Boston? mmh...

I can't see anyone getting Ainge drunk enough to sign off on that one.
The poster "pacertom" since this forum began (and before!). I changed my name here to "Slick Pinkham" in honor of the imaginary player That Bobby "Slick" Leonard picked late in the 1971 ABA draft (true story!)

Danny would want atleast 3 1st round picks if he ever wanted to trade Paul.

Unfortunately there is no way that will happen. Like other posters, Ainge would need a gun put to his head to sign that deal. That would take their current and future SG's who are both much, much better than Jax.
