Thread: Is anyone as superstitious as me?

Question Is anyone as superstitious as me?

I'm a very superstitious sports fan. I'm sorry if some of you think I'm OCD..I'm not. I just have certain routines for sports and particularly IU and Pacers games.

Here is a list of some of my superstitions...
-I have a "home" hat and an "away" hat, as well as an alternate jersey hat.
-I never wear an opponents color the day of the game against them.
-I will only turn my hat from front to back via the right (meaning that I turn the bill clockwise backwards and then counter-clockwise forwards)
-I hold my basketball with my hands in a certain position and the logo facing forward or upside down depending on the situation.
-When I walk to my office I step on two draincovers that were made in Indiana with my left foot

There are others...what do you all do?

Also, I have been reading Stephen Hawking's book "A Brief History of Time" and he describes how moving back in time might be possible, and if even one minor thing were changed the impact on the rest of the WORLD would be gigantic. Therefore, all present actions affect and effect the rest of what goes on everywhere in the world..this includes Pacers games and all other sporting events worldwide..so even if it is a miniscule impact I believe that I can in some way impact the game even from Athens Ohio!

Wow....that's kind of wierd there....especially the stepping over the grate from Indy with your left foot...or whateve that was.....but I guess that's normal for you

The only ritual that I have is wearing my Pacer cap and a sweatshirt that I bought at Old Navy that is colored in Pacer Blue and Gold when I watch a Pacer game on TV or live when the visit the Warriors ( which I will be wearing when I go see them on the 5th ). So far....I am 2-1 since I got my outfit.

What is wierd is that I was watching the last Cavs / Pacer game on TV....when we were down by 15 in the 3rd quarter....and ready to give up....I decided to put on my Pacer rally cap....which I usually do after the halfway through the 3rd QTR....and that is when they went on that run that tied up the game. But clearly....even my Pacer rally cap couldn't stop the Cavs from winning.

But that is about the extent of my "superstition".

This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.

Back when I was a die-hard Lakers fan in the 80's, I would eat a tuna fish sandwich before every playoff game! I still like tuna fish sandwiches, but my wife would kill me if I did this before every Pacers game. She can't stand canned tuna.

I should also add that I swipe the logo on my hats and jerseys two times with my left hand at pivotal moments.

I'm agnostic. It'd be pretty silly if I carried little superstitions like that anymore.

No, but I do tend to edit them with every losing streak of 5+.

I'm only a little superstitious, but it's closer to the truth to say that I just believe in the old saying the harder you work the luckier you get. I do have a couple things I do after games, but I'm superstitious enough not to let it out. lol.

Fire PaCeRs_GuRL! Or trade her! Package her with Ron, SJax, Tins... Her superstitions are not good enough! I knew it - Ron is probably the victim because of her! Hopefuly we get a better one, who will find a better combination.

    P.S: Just kidding - PaCeRs_GuRL is untouchable
