    Default DEFENCE DEFENCE DEFENCE...

Since Ron left the Pacers have only allowed 82ppg and are scoring 92.3ppg. Not only is the team playing more together and refreshed, they look happy. They look like they are having fun. When the players are having fun the games are more fun to watch. The ball movement is better, shot selection seems better, and team defence is better. You were correct Ron, we really are better without you.

    You mean "defense"?

Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

The best part is the FG% allowed. I think one of the TV guys said we've held five of our last six opponents to under 40%. That's amazing.
You, Never? Did the Kenosha Kid?

The thing that always kills me on here is how so many seem to think that if we don't have Ron (or any single player), we then have to play 4 on 5 or something. Like nobody else gets those minutes, scores some of those points, etc
If LAST YEAR didn't teach anything else, it should have shown that the talent at this level doesn't differ THAT much, any player, given the minutes, the shots, is going to put up numbers. Are they as good as Ron? No, but we don't need them to be. If they replace 75% of his scoring and the ball movement is much improved, we don't lose a thing.
Ron averaged 20pts and 6? rebounds. Someone else will score 15 pts or so, maybe even get more rebounds, play TEAM defense. The difference won't be 'huge', and this team can still be VERY good without him. ANd that's before we get whoever in trade.

We've held a couple of teams to their season low in scoring (Jazz and the Clips) and we've held teams to 38% shooting.
