Default Danny Granger: "Do Not Trade (for) Al!"

So far its only the first half and Danny is letting it be known that Al can't come back home!

I am starting to see why you all were so excited about him. I have said I hope Donnie will not do anything over the next 4 games and guage his move on what Danger is doing.

I expect Rookies to be lost, abused and confused, he is really doing well (and he seems sane too!)

    ***** dude, that's a misleading title.

But yeah I agree. They did say he's a bit lost when it comes to knowing the plays... maybe that explains his early scoring troubles?

Blocks, steals, Rebounds and now he is hitting his jumpshots.

Wow, got to admit this guy have been amazing these last two games.

If he keeps playing at this level, the departure of Ron would be less painful.

Now if we can just trade Jackson too and get back someone whortwhile .............

Danny was absolutley fantastic tonight. Boy what a talent, he gets better and better. I think he will be an all star within the next 3 years, and he is making me much less worried about the Artest trade. Whatever we get now will just be an upgrade on an already excellent team. In fact at this point, trading for a starting caliber player might not even be the best move!! I say go after draft picks and maybe a backup Power Forward and Center. Oh god, I'm talking about Artest again.

    Back on topic.

Granger has supplanted Fred and Ron as my favorite Pacer (mainly because Ron isn't going to be here anymore). Absolutely love his game.
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

DG was an absolute monster tonight. I think Alberts said it best when he said Danny just flat-out plays big.

When he's in the game, it seems like he's everywhere.

And just to think he is only getting started. He is just now starting to get consistent minutes.

No doubt. DG has a very high basketball IQ, great athleticism, terrific timing and plays with extreme passion. That combination is fairly rare and particularly lethal. He has the raw material to be the best player on the team. With his passion and, I bet, strong work ethic, he will be awesome.

I wish I had a crystal ball. I think in a couple years his rebounding numbers are going to be even better. He will get stronger and I expect will get many "and ones" driving to the bucket.

...but more than anything, he is a quality guy who will not embarrass the organization and act like an a$$. That is why he will get a big fat contract in a few years. SMOKE THAT ARTEST!

Man, I wish we'd kept JJ. I'd love to see JJ and Granger in the game together... Granger at the 3 and JJ at the 2.
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

Isn't it funny that quite a few of us have favorite players on the team that are rookies, especially in a season when so much complaining has been done.

Not to take this thread off it's subject but tonight we could have used Harrison or Pollard against Kaman. He and Brand were the only ones keeping the game close until the end.

I expect it from Brand but Kaman was kiling us inside tonight . We are making him look like the best center in the west in the 2 games he has played against us. Let's put a big body on the guy.

Kaman is not that bad. He put up good numbers against Detroit recently too. I totally agree we needed to plant a big guy on him. He dominated the glass. WTF 9 offensive rebounds! I would usually defer to Carlisle given his results, but 9 offensive rebounds is just wrong!

Please make a new thread if that is what you want to talk about, don't ruin a positive thread like this with more DH ranting...

Sorry I never meant to imply he is a bad player but we certainly could have used DH or Pollard on him. Somebody to body him up and keep him off the glass.

I haven't been able to see these amazing performances by Danger because of work, but the stat sheets sure do look impressive. I've liked his game since the first time I saw him play. He's always around the ball. On defense he blocks shots and get rebounds. On offense, he's a great teamplayer and (thankfully) is finding his shot. DG and JO form a pretty good low post combo.

I really think Granger is allot like Shawn Marion… Can play the 3 or 4… a great team defensive player that comes up w/ huge blocks and steals… and on offense no plays are ran for him, he gets junk points off of rebounds, transition, or setting picks/ screens…

I think the Marion comparison fits Granger best. That's the best match for his skill set.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.
