Assuming you mean this season, I would want Walsh fired. That would be incredibly stupid to do.

Although, years from now, who knows what could happen. Maybe we will be bottom-feeders and Ron will rescue us from the lottery. Maybe he will be the next Boomer.

Im hoping the only time he ever puts a Pacers Jersey on is at Halloween OR in about 5-10 years and made it through that time without any incidents to speak off.

IF he comes back now though, I would still support the team, but it sure also would have lost a lot of respect from me aswell.

Now, my support for Donnie, on the other hand ...

I can thump my chest all day and say that I would make choice #1 and disown them, but after all these years, to be perfectly honest, I just can't.

    I had to pick #3.

I would also be absolutely convinced that Donnie is nuts and must go.

I wouldn't be happy, but I'd live with it. There are worse things than having Ron Mercer on your team.

I have already decided that should the Pacers give in one more time to this man that I will be done with them until he leaves and possibly new management takes over.

This would be inexcusable. An act that would permanently keep me from being able to be a "fan" of this team.

I became a fan of the Pacers because thats what I grew up with, and because I want to root for the home team. However in my age I have learned that you should be a fan of an organization or anything for that matter by the choices they make, not by location.

Well this will be the final straw for me. I cannot call myself a fan of whatever team Ron Artest is on, especially one that allows their other players, fans, and credibility be abused the way the Pacers have thus far.

I'd be slightly upset but okay as long as there are no problems with him and any other player on this team.

    Yeah right!

I can ignore players and still be a fan. Having said that, I think letting him back would be a horrible, horrible idea.

I will go with whatever JO & the team feel is right for the next chapter of Pacers basketball. I'd be shocked if JO reversed his feelings because I think JO did absolutely everything under the sun to help Ron. JO always seemed to go the extra mile with Ron to make him feel a part of this team, but even with all of JO's effort, Ron spit in his face. I'd be shocked if they accepted him back. Ron deserves to be traded as he has asked for. Plus very few Pacers fans would be able to understand keeping him at this point, imo.

I've been living at choice #3 since sometime in 2002.

Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you

I would lose all respect for the Pacers franchise if they let that fool back.

I will always be a fan of the Pacers and want them to do well, nothing could change that. Nothing would ever make me root for another franchise.

But man, I'd be awful close to where you'd be if Ron Artest were let back on the team. It would be a total joke.

Interesting so still 60% would either

Bleed blue and gold no matter what, and cheer Ron as long as he wears that uniform

Or thier reaction will totally depend upon how Ron’s coaches and teammates accept him back ...

I picked my favorite of the three choices, but none describe my feelings. I would not hesitate to cheer for the team, but nevertheless, I would be disappointed in the Pacers' management. If he returns, I cannot see how Donnie, Larry and Rick could have respect for themselves. That is why I think there is no way he returns.

The Pacers will be around a long time after Artest has moved on and out of basketball. It is time to stop the madness.

To say I would lose interest in the Pacers is probably the best answer. Until Ron is gone, the Pacers wouldn't get much more attention from me than a score check and "Oh, they won." or, "Oh, they lost." Artest coming back would be a disgrace to the franchise and a slap in the face of the fans who have put up with, and even embraced Ron, but have finally grown tired of him. If Ron Artest ever wears a Pacers' uniform again, attendance drops, ratings drop, and Las Vegas has a new team.

IMO, there's no way Ron comes back. Everyone that is affiliated with this franchise is sick and tired of the antics, and Donnie Walsh owes it to us to get rid of this guy for all the crap Artest put us through.

So, I suppose the answer to the question is that I would half-heartedly support the team, but in no way, shape or form will I ever support Ron Artest. But, truth be told, I doubt I could really ignore the team, they've been such a big part of my entire life, just like the Colts. Real fans stick with a team through thick and thin, winning and losing, and tough situations like this one. So, I guess it's safe to say that I wouldn't abandon the team, but if Artest is a member of it, it takes a backseat until he's gone.

WOW I'm shocked by some of the poll results come on guys, rather Artest does stay I will always be a Pacers fan although JO doesn't want Artest back and I'm gonna go with JO though if Artest is ever back in a Pacers uniform then it means JO and Artest worked out there differences.

For better or worse I will always be a Pacers fan who's with me?
