Then I'll definitely be there.
Then I'll definitely be there.
Leaving Chicagoland now...
See everyone tonight. Jay
Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you
Looks like I'll be able to make it afterall.
Me and Ron should be there about 6:30 or so.
I'm partially scared Ron really WILL be there. I know Jose didn't have much luck trying to get him last time, but this time his schedule is clear.....
It would be great to have Ron there and watch all of you fawn over him and kiss his butt. I can hear it now, "Ron you are the greatest" "Pacers should never trade you" and that would be Jay saying those things.
Have fun this afternoon guys. I look forward to the report and pics.
Well, it's not like Ron has anything better to do. He might as well show up.
But I won't be able to make it this time. Family obligations. Plus my wife gave me a whole lot of crap for not getting home until 2 last time. "What could you possibly talk about for that long!!!" I told her I left before we even got through 3/4 of the roster...
You're caught up in the Internet / you think it's such a great asset / but you're wrong, wrong, wrong
All that fiber optic gear / still cannot take away the fear / like an island song

I was too sleepy to come. Sorry, sitting in my chair was more appealing.
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.
Its much too late & I'm much too tired to give a full recap, or even a partial for that matter.
I will say that it was a nice to meet Gyron, Jay & Ragnar. As you know we have some very knowledgeable basketball people on here. Its nice that they allow me to set & listen to them a couple times a year.
I'll let Peck explain some of the things that Uncle Buck had to say. You should get a kick outta that.
Here's a list of those that made it lastnight.
Believe in Blue
Hoops for Life
I hope I didn't miss any. edit: I did - I left off Uncle Buck & Pig Nash, no notes & little sleep, sorry
It appears you missed UB. (GRIN)
I will definately be at the next one. I've been messed up all week with a double ear infection and strep throat however, so it wouldn't have been a good idea to maybe contaminate the forum. I'm almost better though, maybe 75%, but that's not good enough to drive an hour-plus to Indy.
It was another great forum party, one of the best in fact. All the first timers added a lot. Pig Nash, Ragnar, Gyron and Jay were all great.
As I was driving into the parking lot I promised myself I was going to be home by 11:00 last night. Afterall it was about 6:15 when I arrived and shouldn't 4 plus hours be plenty really. I mean what can you talk about for more than 4 hours. Well it wasn't, not by a long shot. I got home at 3:00 AM, and I live about 10-15 minutes away.
Peck will have a blow-by-blow account as he always does. There were some crazy things said that will likely come back to haunt those who said them. We'll see.
I was a bit of a zombie by the time I was 20 minutes away from home at about 3:15 or so
I have to say it was more entertaining than I thought it would be. I figured it would be more argumentative than it was. Much more thoughtfull informed conversation than I expected. I am definatly glad I made it.
so who has the group picture??
RESIDENT COUNTING THREAD PHILOSOPHIZER
Gyron I believe.
so where's the recap ??
So Long And Thanks For All The Fish.
If you've done 6 impossible things today?
Then why not have Breakfast at Milliways!
That's what i'm wondering.
Scene at the Greyhound bus terminal:
Announcement: All those departing Indianapolis passengers please have your tickets ready for the gate agent.
Agent: Let's see - thank you Mr. Artest
Artest: Hey, where is Cro?
Agent: Thank you Mr. Tinsley
Tinsley: ***** you MF
Agent: I'm sorry Mr. Jackson, your ticket isn't for travel until the end of the season. You will have to speak to the purchaser to change it.

I just got up becuase I didnt get home until about 5. It was my 3rd party and it was once again a great one. It was nice to meet some new people and get to see the old ones. There was no True Warrior lip balm this time which just about ruined the party. Hicks took it the hardest becuase he had just ran out of his tube last week. Peck was our fearless leader once again and Uncle Buck informed us that our own Jeff Foster was a top 20 defensive player. Thats just a little bit of what went on Peck should have a recap sometime today. Hopefully we will see everybody back at the next one and even more new people. ABA, stay safe and we all hope to see you at a forum party when you return and you'll got a piece of pie at Perkins on me
