Default Gas Prices Where You Live

I'm curious, since gas is high (and will apparently stay that way), what is the current price of gas where you live?

I just bought gas (regular unleaded) in Connersville for $1.74/gallon.

$2.29 for premium in the South Bay, SF is probably more. I guess that'd be $2.09 for regular.

Where are all those people who were protesting on the streets before the war with banners saying we were only going to war for Iraq's oil? For some reason I don't see those people around anymore. ed:

I got some for $1.70 in Indianapolis yesterday.

But just think if gas cost as much as cough syrup per gallon.

My METRA pass is $89.15 per month. I haven't bought gas since the last time I drove to Indy (which was for the 2/8/2004 game vs. Miami.)

IOW, I have no idea. But I guess I'm in for a shock next week when I drive down for the Jersey game.
Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you

Why do you use the METRA so much? To get to work?
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

Yep. I buy the monthly pass to get between The Loop and Elmhurst. Actually, I get it on pre-tax dollars now, so I don't remember the actual payroll deduction amount but its more like $55.

Northwest Station is only four blocks from my office, so I rarely use the CTA. I'm more likely to just hop in a cab because I can never remember the bus routes oustide of the one we took to the get to the United Center.

what the F are you complaining about gas prices?

Ok i can remember when i live in OK it was like $ 1.10 a gallon but still ...

    Here (London UK) price is 0.86 a litre i.e. 3,20 a gallon i.e. $ 6.00 a gallon

Combine that with ciggies at 5.00 a pack of 20 ( $ 9.50) ad you get an idea of the cost of living here

It certainly doesn't make me happy. Prices have DOUBLED in the last four years. That's insane.

At this rate, gas will be around $7 a gallon by 2012. Someone needs to put a stop to this, one way or the other.

Look at thre other thread I bumped though in the policics forum - gas prices have held steady since Katrina - that is what caused it basically to go from $2.00 to $3.00

And now it's $3.50 and rising. And there are no natural disasters or major oil spills to account for it this time.

Yes, but the price of oil is off the charts and it is spring - those two huge factors alone are causing this
